I’ll never forget the 1st time I heard about this “prosperity theology”! I was in the navy, we were out to see, and I was doing some Bible study with 2 others, when one of them started talking about how his pastor said “Jesus don’t want you to be poor, that all his disciples came from money & he could prove it using the Bible”! That same shipmate was also the 1st person to coin the phase “seed money”, far as giving to the church! I’m glad the good lord never put me around many people that were into this movement!

The "Prosperity Gospel" is a false gospel.....

My delight in the Lord is drawing closer to Him through prayers, Bible study and holy living. I pay my tithes and offerings to ministries that help the less privileged, persecuted Christians and spreading of the gospel, not to ministries that support pastors who dance on people’s tithe and offering place at the church’s altar or those who buy multiple place, cars or build massive mansions. No sir re bob.

There's a saying, "If you want to support your pastor, give him a salad." Biblical support of the priests and Levites was food. Money was given to keep the temple in repair, and it was a small amount. We were warned about the hirelings who would fleece the sheep. I know people who are in this prosperity gospel, and it makes me wonder if they've ever studied the Bible. When I ask a Biblical question, they have no answer. It breaks my heart.

Charge $1,000 on your credit card as a seed to me TO GET OUT OF CREDIT CARD DEBT-- How senseless AND counterproductive!! Lord have mercy on their souls!!

Asking people to use their credit card to give $1,000 in faith ridiculous. When a struggling person hears a preacher say send x amount of 💰 and God will bless you, they may hear it as ”if I do not send 💰I won't be blessed.”

🤣🤣🤣 That first clip was priceless. I remember when I used to go to church a preacher came in for a revival. He actually said out his mouth " I'll come back another night, when there's more money in the building". Had I known better I would've left the Christian church then.

Excellent stuff as always sir.....remember, if you give to the Kingdom of God to further his gospel and not so you can get "worldly" gains you will be blessed by God (and it does not have to mean financially, but it does mean spiritual gains....store up not your treasures here on earth.....)

I am so glad God opened my eyes to this type of teaching... I was part of a ministry that was "under the covering" of Creflo Dollar. As being apart of Leadership, we had to attend every Creflo Dollar and Leroy Thompson Conference or Meeting. Long story short I was always broke trying to sow upward into the lives of these men as they would say. JESUS SAID WHEN YOU GIVE TO THE LEAST YOU GIVE UNTO ME not this sowing upward into the anointing on some inflated preachers life

One of the biggest issues that I have with this kind of teaching is that fosters laziness. You just give money and you get wealthy without any kind work or investment in a business or some kind of occupation that creates that kind of financial wealth.

Here's the Apostle Paul's own words: "That when I preach the gospel, I may present the gospel of Christ WITHOUT CHARGE, that I may not abuse my authority in the gospel." (I Cor 9:18) Paul NEVER went into a congregation with the intention of seeing how much of THEIR money he could get before he left. NEVER! What we see practiced in churches today is shameful and disgraceful. It costs nothing to share the gospel of Christ with someone. God does not want or need your money. It's greedy pastors/preachers who do. They covet your money.

Don’t listen to Joel!!! I’m poor, and The Lord God Almighty has blessed me in numerous ways and has used me to be a blessing with just the little I have. It’s a blessing that God Almighty allowed you to see a new day, to be in your right mind, have good health, and all your limbs and senses working properly. Now those are tremendous blessings!!! Yes we need money, but not at the cost of our souls!

Really good stuff Corey. Yes, the issue is that church can be used as a platform to satisfy desires. When ministry is at a high quality, the vast majority of the money goes to satisfy needs, not just of the pastor, but of the many. Many so-called pastors are finding ways to make their wants look like needs. It is very sinister. And by the way, this doesn't only come from the prosperity crowd. There are men who preach doctrinally sound things who still find a way to prop themselves up hierarchically with ministry money. BODY OF CHIRST ... listen ... consider the sufferings of the Apostle Paul when you handle his readings. Paul's sufferings put his writings in their proper perspective and context. God says, "those who preach the Gospel will make a living by the preaching of the Gospel." Man in his sinfulness responds with "Oh, yay I get to be rich from church." Yes, but God said that through the man with deep sufferings in the Gospel. Paul did not write that for YOU to become rich ... or to enjoy a high standard of living in perpetuity from God's people's money.

I actually stopped going to church becuase of this motivational speakers on sunday. I was in church from age of 7 to 34 then realise like my parents we are scammed by churches.

I read a blip that said Corey was a false teacher...I can't go along with that. He is true to the Word of God. I've just started watching him and like what I hear, not because of him but because I believe he is teaching God's Word and THAT is all that is important. Corey is a vessel and is being used by God.
