That was like swapping out a small block for a big block motor . lol

😂 it totally was! It’s a bit heavier now, but it’s way more powerful

I absolutely love that you put that first part of the video on there. I was laughing so hard. I kept looking at the first box so excited to see how the hell you were going to get that to work lol.

I’m glad you caught that!🤣🤣

Came to say the same lol. Noticed the brief road trip to exchange 😂 Hey it happens.

@@ronhenry2025 the guy in the store was really happy that they came back with it because they charged me the price for the vertical shaft engine, and they gave me the horizontal shaft engine, which is more money. I just took the box from the and didn’t even think to look at it. Memories 😂

Going to try one of these on a push mower before long 😊 Don’t need it but for the fun of it Thank You

So far it’s been running great. The fit and finish may be not quite as refined, but it works.

My mower died 2 weeks ago. Engine won't crack when I pull the rope. Tried the drill method, nothing Looks like this is my option

So far so good 1 1/2 seasons so far. I’m glad I tried it, and it was way cheaper than a new mower.

Helpful, useful information. Don't drink before the video though.. it IS obvious.

What was wrong with the Briggs engine? I had an old Toro that went 12 years until the wheels body started falling apart. The Tecumseh engine still ran perfect with the original carb and when I took it apart the piston a bore was perfect! 🙀 Now Toro and everything is crap!

I don’t know exactly, but it’s been struggling the last three years, and this year I couldn’t keep it running. I have to admit I struggle with small engine repair 🧑🔧. I’m guessing it’s a carburetor issue. I think I might take it apart and try to educate myself and tinker until it or me blows up or works, whichever comes first. Last time I fixed the carburetor, or tried to, I ended up breaking my ankle on a three wheeler. It’s everything I can do not to take it out and shoot it, I have a sickness.

Haha, they are simple and if no blue smoke usually easy to fix. I’m guessing old gas sitting all winter and Chinese knock of carbs are cheap for some engines. 👍

I had one of the first OHV Tecumseh engines on a mower I bought from my brother. He bought it new in 1991 or so to use on his lot in town. He moved the country and bought a huge rider and sold me the push mower for $50. I lived in town and used it for years then moved to the country and really beat it up mowing under fences and our lagoon. Over the next 25 years that engine was on two more decks as they kept wearing out and the engine kept running fine. All was good until my son borrowed it to mow his college rental. He had it two months and it never ran again. The oil was full of water and the engine was half locked up.

Will This engine fit a commercial toro mower?
@oddballschtuff4 ай бұрын
I don’t know? It is universal, but I don’t know to what extent, but it does fit multiple different mowers supposedly

Do you know if tha tengine will run without the blade installed. Lawnmowers have light flywheels and use the blase for part of the flywheel, the ones that are on pressure washers have heavy flywheels. I can' tfind anything on these motors that tell.

I’m sure it will, but I never tried it, so I’m not 100 percent on that.

dude , that new engine will last alot longer if u would wash your mowwer after each use , lord in heaven help your pushmower and it will help you, it will cut better grass will look better and it be lighter and easier to use, hell I coat mine
@oddballschtuff5 ай бұрын
I used to, but I don’t worry much anymore about that.
@HockeyGoon9393 ай бұрын
Why wash it? I blow mine off with compressed air once in the while but seldom if ever wash the engine. I'd be more worried about the stator getting rusty with getting it wet that often.
@ganakas95863 ай бұрын
@@HockeyGoon939 Unless the grass is always dry as u mow it , as in u never mow early in the morning or within 24 hours of rain occuring , The grass will build up under the deck just due to pressure from the blades flinging the cut gras into the deck and it stacking. Just like with wood that isn't pressure treated lumber (and then even pressure treated lumber given enough time) Dirt and plat matter will rot the deck out overtime. Washing the deck of your mower is the same thing as washing your car or your backside ...its part of maintenance. Not to mention with a mower if u don't keep it clean...it gets heavier and heavier . A dirty deck will also discharge the grass out the side or into your collection bag worse /slower than a clean deck nm a coated deck . Each and every use u should wash it... Golfcourse maintainance crews if the course is at least ran by someone who isn't a moron. Wash each piece of equipment at the end of use that day or at the end of the day in general . As they cut every day from spring to late fall (as in 7 days a week, especially the mowers cutting the greens n fairways) because it allows those mowers to perform at near new lvls for as long as possible. the Body and the crank shaft in the case of a pu sh mower is more likely to rust faster if y ou don't wash it after each use. N ot to mention u have compressed air yea ? It would take u 30-40 seconds to dry the deck after washing it . I use my leaf blower handheld one anyway to dry off my mower /weedeater after each use 5 outta 7 times. Usually after a large use say acre and 1/2 + or super inclines/trashy area's After I rinse the deck I dry with a rag to make sure it actually gets clean , but air drying for most ppl likely sufficient .
