Therefore, researchers are concerned that some reported recidivism rates are artificially low. For example, when a sample of imprisoned sex offenders who admitted to assaulting one victim were given polygraph examinations, researchers found the offenders actually had an average of 110 victims and 318 offenses. as well as the fact is it depends if your looking at sex offender or pedophile stats someone who slept with a kid and a sex offender could have don the same thing or the sex offender could have been drunk taking a piss in public making him register as a sex offender.

Unless he was innocent. Did he have a prior history? Why would the wife still be in the same house after a true accusation? An accusation like this automatically and immediately ends the normal life of the man accused. Job termination, publicly shamed. He could have been justifiably suicidal. He pulled a gun so it was a legit shooting but never automatically presume guilt because of accusations.

Downside is the ptsd of the officers. That officer with a shotgun might not have realized what his actions would have looked like. My dad did consoling immediately after events like this. Sometimes officers would contact him months or years later due to the ptsd.

yep, police have their own clean-up crew and most self-defense insurance companies hire those same guys, I cleaned apartments for a very short time, someone had to defend themselves self and their defense insurance paid for clean up in unit A3
