At the time, he was our only actually decent performer in an awful Roy Hodgson side, which featured the likes of Konchesky, Poulsen, Cole, Jovanovic, and Ngog among others, on a weekly basis. At a point, it felt like we might had to settle for a relegation scrap. But Torres pulled the team up a lot of times before he left. Crucial goals against WBA, Bolton and least of all, his brace against Chelsea, just weeks before he departed. He by no means felt washed at that point.

I know this might sound weird but for utd, i think garnacho is the one who is going to break our hearts he wants to follow in cristiano footsteps and will probably sign for real madrid in a few years once he is ready. he already is getting links to them and has started setting good stat numbers at utd. Hes the one to watch out for in my opinion. Going to make me very sad if he leaves. 🤣

Even though the quotes were taken way out of context you still could argue the Bailey point was fine. But then you said he’d leave for THIRTY MILLION QUID. The same money Leeds spent on Rutter or Aaronson. 30mil for a bloke who’s been top 5 wingers in the league this season is mental, Villa would be looking at 80/90mil minimum after the season he’s having.

Considering how bad Nathan Collins has been in the last games that he´s played, I sincerely doubt it if anyone at Brentford would consider themselves heartbroken, if he left! Honestly though, this is kind os a silly list, considering that in today´s football game it´s extremely rare to see a player not switch clubs at least four or five times during their career. The whole idea that you're breaking the hearts of the fans by accepting a higher paid job elsewhere belongs in a faraway past, back when having club loyalty was expected out of the players and the difference in how much you made playing for a mid-level club compared to playing for one of the biggest clubs wasn´t nearly as big, as it is today.

Saliba is not going anywhere either. Fans love him, he has guaranteed minutes and the way I have seen him celebrating with the fans and the players the love for the club is there. This guy spent little time searching when calling him a sulker, one of his family members died in France and that’s why he went there through loans. And tell me which player would go on 2-3 loan moves for a club and not leave it permanently.
