A great coach doesn't need to have been a great player. There are lots of players with a great football brain but not the technique or fitness to be top class. There are others with great technique or can run all day but make poor decisions, you find lots of them in the Sunday league. Coaching is about personality and knowledge.

Marco Rossi is actually a gem of a manager for Hungary. We have achieved good results under his management. I'd love to see Hungary going far into the tournament.

Hasselbaink the most hopeless manager I've ever seen from a Northampton fan. Had our biggest budget in years with Chinese investment, played awful football and completely demoralised the entire squad leading to the fans booing him out the club in a Nene Derby game at Peterborough. I have absolutely no idea how he's frauded an England coaching job especially after how his second spell at Burton ended

I always find it weird how English fans seemingly act as if England has has a constant winning streak. English football fans mock teams with "small" trophy droughts but don't seem to care that they haven't seen England win anything in almost 60 years

If Poland make it - a special shout to Sebastian Mila, a mediocre footballer by all measures, who's cemented himself into folk history for us by scoring the 2-0 goal in a friendly against Germany right after they won the WC. He's now the assistant coach and I'm convinced he's there entirely for the dressing room vibes.

9:24 Hasselbaink in Atlético Madrid was great, but the team crashed and burned and got relegated by the end of the 1999/00 season. That's how he ended up at Chelsea. Great player at his prime, but coming to a collapsing Spanish giant fooled some people who thought that he was rubbish, just because at almost the same time, an almost retired Stan Collymore was signed by Real Oviedo.

As a Leeds fan I was gutted to see Jimmy go, and then after Athletico to Chelsea. We simply couldn't meet his wage demands. He cost us 2 million we sold for 10, I wouldn't go as far as saying he was world class, but he was damn close. I think you can do far worse with a technical coach.
