They've improved massively. If they hadn't lost the first 2 games, they would've been barely 5 points off Arsenal, who were challenging for most of the season. I feel like they could do it. But they need some work in the transfer market.

@@Snrbnre I’m not deluded. Chelsea have no European competitions and can always play the best 11. Other teams such as Newcastle aren’t used to Europe and will struggle. Generally, the premier league is weak this season and Chelsea will capitalise. The squad on paper is brilliant, and I suspect we’ll go for a 9 now or latest January seeing what Nkunku can do

What?! Minus say 5/6 games where we got pumped we was good. Most clean sheets (with a keeper nobody rates). One of the best home records while beating Arsenal, City, Liverpool etc. No striker. Back line a mess with injuries all season. Finally won a trophy. Final of another. While playing in the Europa too. We had a great first season under ETH. We just need better consistency which we will have hopefully next season with new faces coming in to give us better squad depth.

You won the carling Cup after get every home leg possible and the easiest draw to the final possible. Ten Hag got top 4 because chelsea; spurs and Liverpool were very poor; any other season with your quality of performances they finish around 6th. If you play how you did last season next season and Liverpool continue to play how they did for the second half of the season (2nd most posts in the league over the last 19 games) if arsenal and city do the same, Newcastle too, you'll be at maximum fighting for 4/5th and thats without Chelsea or spurs being terrible again which Is very unlikely.

We beat Newcastle in the final comfortably. City lost to a lesser team in Southampton. No. We’re a much better team than Chelsea and Tottenham anyway. We was two single points off Liverpool throughout the second half of the season. We both conceded the same goals but Liverpool put scored us so.. united reached more points than Liverpool without anout and out scorer. Liverpool have numerous players that can play up top for them (Salah, Jota, Nunez, Firminho, Gakpo) and still United finished above them. If your manager wouldn’t of spent all his money on two attacking players he really didn’t need and strengthened his MF which everyone could clearly see than you’d be fine and possibly would of got top 4 ahead of newcastle who finished below us. Why is this not aimed at newcastle? I think you just hate united mate. For ETH first season it was great. We got everything we wanted in a top four finish and a trophy. Small steps each season to where we want to be. Chelsea are a mess. Tottenham too. We will finish above both of them comfortably. If Liverpool don’t sign the right players we will be above them too (I currently think it will be City, Liverpool, United, Arsenal) top four next season.

Other than that they have been an incredibly attacking side, it isn’t their style but instead their finishing that has caused them problems. But notwithstanding that, before February they had still dished out multiple 3+ scoring games: Brentford 5:1, Fulham 4:1, villa 4:0 Southampton 4:1 city 3:3 etc.

Because liverpool are bringing in a competent midfield to match the quality they have in other areas? Similar to back end of 20/21 going into 21/22. Finished 3rd and rebounded back to a quadruple fight (obviously for different circumstances). Underestimating klopp again, it'll be another Liverpool/City title race. It's not that every team is going to be worse, it's just that liverpool have klopp, VVD, Trent, Salah, Alisson etc. This is title winning quality that other teams; Newcastle, United, Arsenal, don't have. It'll be very exciting to see the greatest liverpool midfield in the klopp era function. Winning every trophy possible for them next season is not out of the question at all. We know how they are with signings and it'll be similar again. Not to mention the quality of Nunez learning more under klopp and taking that 9 shirt for next season.

Liverpool had a fluke season last season, thats why. They won't have the pressure of champions league this season, but they will be looking to get back into it for next season. I wouldn't be surprised if they feck off the Europa league to focus fully on the premier league and come 1st honestly. Also moving Trent to midfield and bringing in MacAllister will be a big influence.
