How about a return to Ford Field in Detroit? The Motor City could certainly use an economic boost and they've hosted twice with domed stadiums, like Minnesota. Fingers crossed for no referee controversy if the league goes back. Also I wish the league would not be so rigid on stadiums hosting its teams getting the big game. The Rose Bowl would be a welcome return. Finally, Miami and New Orleans should stay in the mix as long as their stadiums are up to par.

Doesn't the NFL have a rule that says a stadium can't host a Super Bowl in its first year open, basically because the Superdome wasn't ready and it screwed up Super Bowl IX?

Tennessee won't get it in 2028, they never put the SB in the first year of a stadium, they let the stadium operations bed in for the first year before holding the SB so they can move it if there are problems or construction delays

I agree 100% I think LA and LV are the new Miami and Tampa Bay and host the majority of SBS going forward. The third that becomes the new Superdome equivalent might be Tennessee since its also a party town like N.O. is

As a Vikings fan and avid Prince fan, I loved the Prince tribute that they did at Super Bowl 52! US Bank Stadium, in my opinion, is the best designed stadium in the NFL, so they do deserve to host another one! 😊

2027: Agree w/Jerry World. 2028: Mercedes Benz in Atlanta 2029: New Titans Stadium 2030: Relilant Stadium 2031: IF Jacksonville gets the renovation. If not: Lucas Oil Stadium 2032: State Farm Stadium 2033: New BEARS Stadium or US Bank Stadium 2034: Allegiant Stadium 2035: SoFi Stadium 2036: New Washington Stadium 2037: New Bucs Stadium (Tampa) * Would never be in Cleveland. Miami is done it’s the smallest to ever host now. New Orleans is also probably done after this one unless a new stadium*

Very similar to my list. I think Miami gets at least one more at Hard Rock. I'm holding out hope for San Diego (w/ a new team and stadium, of course). AT&T might've been frozen out like the other cities where cold weather can happen. Suspect that Houston and Phoenix might get leapfrogged by the newer facilities. We'll see.

I think Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is way more likely to host a London Super Bowl than Wembley. It is a much newer stadium and was purpose built to host both soccer and NFL games

You should throw Houston in the mix as well to host another Super Bowl. Also, don't count New Orleans completely out. The Superdome is getting into that 'legendary' category with some of the most famous sports locations of all time.

Would Carolina be an option whenever they get a new stadium? Nashville is higher priority as a possible Super Bowl site but weather obviously is similar. Nashville seems to be a more happening city than Charlotte (country mecca, nightlife) and stronger infrastructure (hotels) to host. But Charlotte might have a better chance than some other possible cities at hosting.

The new owners are already touring other NFL stadiums for an idea of what they want. It looks like they've checked out AT&T (I think), SoFi, and MBS in Atlanta. So they'll prob have a dome that looks Super Bowl-esque.

Super Bowls will only ever be hosted by Southern states (CA, AZ, NV, TX, LA, GA & FL) since February is cold in the northern states, unless they have a roof (MN, IN, MI)

@@kevinbond8966 the only time the super bowl was played outside in a colder weather city was sb 48 in NYC. And that was likely a one time thing.

Nashville will have a new stadium that has a translucent roof, and Bank Of America Stadium is open air in the current stadium situation plus that stadium is very obsolete. Charlotte is really cold in February

The 27-28 season will for sure be in Nashville. That stadium will be open for 1 year by then and be eligible. Jerry World is a hard sell until they get an entertainment and hotel district. SoFi and Allegiant will see the big game a lot and take the load off of Miami and New Orleans moving forward. Not counting future or renovated stadiums, Lucas Oil and US Bank should get another Super Bowl.

My guess is the cold weather ones (JerryWorld would be included) are off the menu until they get new stadiums. The only places I could see getting them in this time frame would be all the warm weather ones (except for the anticipated new ones in Chicago and DC). I'm holding out hope San Diego gets a team in this timeframe so they can get included.

@@ElWagonne Fair enough. The NFL still doesn't like that. They want it to be reliably 55-60 degrees throughout the day throughout Super Bowl week. Which is why, I fear, Dallas area might not host a Super Bowl until they have a new stadium. (Should also add that Atlanta and Nashville fall into that "bipolar winter weather" category, too.

DFW is also a hard sell because of the cold front that week and winter storm crisis of three years ago. Total shit show throughout Texas that week expect for El Paso - because they’re smart enough not to be on the Texas electric grid.

After New York City, Seattle is the only northern city where there is a strong likelihood the winter will be mild on gameday, like it was, ironically, during Super Bowl XLVIII.

I'm surprised how Dallas only hosted Super Bowl once. Never the old Texas Stadium? Was it too far outside the city of Dallas? Was the NFL turned off by the stadium's retractable roof not working? Houston hosted once with Rice Stadium instead of Astrodome. So why not the Cotton Bowl?

Dallas in the 2011 had a ticket snafu with fans not getting their seats plus an ice storm so perhaps that hurt their chances of getting another one

I’d say it’s far likelier due to the cold front that week. Since then DFW still is part of the Texas electric grid, which got totally exposed three years ago this week for its continued lack of winterization. Way too risky.

I think in 2030's maybe two Super Bowl outside of the USA. And here's the stadiums possibly a Super Bowl location, I predict Tottenham Hotspur Stadium (Tottenham, London, UK) Santiago Bernabéu (Madrid, Spain) Allianz Arena (Munich, Bavaria, Germany) Wembley Stadium (London, UK)

Lol, Inglewood California is not a vacation spot. The Stadium is in the ghetto. The only good thing about Inglewood is its close to the airport so you watch the game and then get the hell out of there.

I don’t necessarily agree on having it in cold weather but I do miss having more of them played outdoors. Was always cool when they played one in say San Diego where the sun would set during the game

MetLife stadium deserves another Super Bowl. Improvesments to the field conditions, Parking and Traffic Roads. Tons of luxury hotels and easy access drives to nearby Airports. The most spacious seats in the NFL. More than enough Concessions and 1st class Restrooms to avoid long lines. Proven it can handle any cold weather conditions. The American Dream Family retail Center across the highway gives fans a fun place to go after the game - Setting the foundation to a point where some fans go home later than others - Thereby, Reducing Traffic - Especially when the centers parking is always closed during stadium events.

Yeah I know they go to warm weather states. But they should go every other year to cold weather states. New Jersey, NOT NEW YORK. METLIFE STADIUM. Buffalo new stadium. GREEN BAY. DENVER. It makes it more fun and interesting. I’m sure fans would love to see this

Bringing the SB overseas would be disasterous for the NFL. All that money consumers are going to have to spend would be ridiculous. As a football fan I dont even like when they play overseas. You steal a home game away from teams.

Hey @depressedginger love your content, but please for the love of everything stop saying new Nissan stadium is opening in 2028. I live 10 minutes from the build site, it's planned to open in 2027. Now it may take longer we know how stadium builds can be, but 2027 is the planned open year. Their breaking ground on it here in March or April.
