I don't think I'll buy it immediately. I'll be very cautious to see what games will actually be there. After what happened with the Wii U, I've grown less naive and more sceptical.

If we do get menu music, I think it'd be neat if there were multiple tracks to choose from. There'd be the basic one, but also tracks from other games like the Mario 64 file select, one of the menu themes from Smash, the character select from Mario Kart 8, and other themes that'd fit for a main menu

I'd love it if they added achievements. I have a lot of fun trying to go for platinum trophies on Playstation and it motivates me to go for things I usually wouldn't do. It's the reason I ended up 100% the Crash Bandicoot N-Sane Trilogy. I already like to 100% Mario, Kirby, Pikmin, and Sonic games, and having something on my profile showing it off would be nice. A lot of Nintendo fans seem to hate the idea for some reason. I remember asking on the Nintendo Switch subreddit what games they'd like to see get achievements, and so many were offended at idea of it. I remember someone replied saying that achievement hunters have never done anything worthwhile in their life and that getting achievements in games are the only things that bring meaning to their life. And dawg its not that serious, i just thought It'd be a nice addition.

I really want an option to message your friends and have party chat on the system. I hate how behind the times Nintendo is when it comes to social features. They could also make more money off of this because they could sell their own brand of headsets

i’m hyped for when the switch games are cheaper and i can get more for cheap

I hope they add a Tomodachi Life sequel and not a port like they did with Miitopia. Sure, Miitopia did add a lot with the mask and wig systems alongside the horse, but outside of that there really wasn’t much additional content to the game. I worry that they’d do the same for Tomodachi Life and it would feel samey after a couple of weeks and just not have much to do.

I usually don't watch much videos on my actual youtube account because I'm lazy, but I really like the jokes on this channel and I really like mario so I thought I'd go out there and put more effort into watching this channel! Wish I could've been there before 200K subs.

Assuming the Switch 2 has backwards compatibility I'd honestly be OK with Ultimate just receiving a major content update/new dlc that's less focused on simply adding new fighters, adding stuff like new modes, stages, etc. This is also me massively coping because I'm still upset they never fixed the buggy platforms in stage builder.

Wild prediction: They bring back StreetPass from the 3DS, or some form of successor to it. However, Miis are not used in a similar manner to what Nintendo Switch Sports ended up doing.

Switch is basically a redesigned and slightly more powerful Wii U. But one fun element of Wii U was not carried over to Switch; the ability to play on tv and in handheld at the same time. Those little handheld minigames and maps were useful and cool. I really hope Switch 2 (or whatever they end up calling it) will fix that problem.

i'm so glad that there's someone else out there who doesn't want the smash roster massacared! all of your points are the exact same ones i've been saying although another couple i think are relevant are that no matter what logic you use to half the roster you inevitably end up cutting more fan favourites than you keep and that apart from big third party characters and highly requested first party characters pretty much any other newcomers introduced after halving the roster will just end up being ones that definitely wouldve been cut if they were in ultimate making it feel more bitter about some characters not returning

Well I missed out on that community post. I think it would be nice if it was a lot easier to live stream on the switch 2. PS4 and Xbox One have like built-in software that allows you to just live stream the games on twitch or KZfaq or wherever without needing to buy external hardware and plug it into a computer to live stream it. It would be ideal if the switch 2 would have a program on there that allows you to easily live stream a game to KZfaq and twitch and elsewhere. Especially since a lot of the time the console might be played in portable mode because maybe the TV isn't available for some reason or you're out and about and maybe not working while you're out away from home and would like to live stream.

Okay we all saw the leak mentioning 12 gigs of ram BUT on that same page of shipping details we were told a microphone is somewhere in the mix Voice chat without the app would be very exciting. Honestly about the new smash game thing at least to me i doubt it will happen because its not about the fighters getting cut it's about the third party characters and contract issues because Nintendo is gonna have to spending billions of dollars just to keep certain third party characters so if we do manage to have a new smash it would either be a remake of 64 or melee tbh

A New 2D Zelda feels more like it'll be the Holiday title to tie us over until next year, the same way Mario Wonder was last year. It's a nice midground of small enough that Nintendo wouldn't hold it until the Switch 2 but big enough that Nintendo could position it as the big holiday game for this year.

I personally wait about 2 years give or take to buy a new console. This way i get to see if there are games i would want to play, there are multiple best sellers, and i get to see if it flops like the wii u (i did have the wii u becaude it was a Christmas gift).

You didn't mention a free to play built in launch game that shows off the switch 2s features, also since Nintendo is cutting ties with Twitter I wonder if there gonna bring miiverse or something similar back!

Some games I'm fairly certain will be on the switch 2 would be: Metroid Prime 4, a new Smash bros game, Mariokart 9, a remake of stuff like classic Mario, Zelda, Kirby and Pokemon games, a new Mario Party game, open world Mario and Metroid games, Splatoon 4 and more Pokemon games

Maybe better modding support for the switch 2? The only concerns that might bring up are it being difficult and really, REALLY dumb sales concerns. I think it would be a really good feature that allows modding to be more accessible for players not so tech-savvy

I'm not convinced they'll ever do a GC add-on to NSO, as they're seeing how easy it is to remaster them & sell at full price. Also, I'm not convinced NSO will be very comprehensive & feature-complete at launch. It SHOULD be, but it's Nintendo & online stuff we're talking about. For whatever reason, we'll probably still be forced to use friend codes, have no communication functionality (still not even basic messaging, let alone voice chat), lacking media apps again, etc. I do think they'll offer backwards compatibility (thankfully). I'll be sad if they STILL don't offer an achievement/trophy system. I don't even seek them out in games, but I always prefer buying my multiplats anywhere else than Nintendo consoles because of them. I like being able to see my gameplay history, what I did in games I beat, the % of people who also did these things, etc. And I hope they bring back themes... it's low effort & would make fans happy, so the only excuse not to is sheer stubbornness.

I want a Smash that has fewer characters because I want a completely new Smash. Made by someone else, with fresh ideas and completely different movesets and design philosophies. I just think Ultimate is the ultimate SAKURAI Smash, but the series can evolve in a different way. (also I want this because I want DK and Bowser to sound like they should sound and to get rid of Smash oddities like freakin' Jigglypuff, of all Pokémon, being a mainstay)

Hear me out : A secondary screen While docked it works like the gamepad but with the joycons that are provided in with the console. While in portable mode it can conect to the switch's charging port and functions like a bigger DS. I dont know how you could close thet hing without an accessory provided with the "gamepad" or it would have a funny shape. Some games would have no real value with a double screen but those that worked realy well with it in the DS, 3DS and wiiU days could have a dualscreen mode with some funtionalities like an interactive map for splatoon or a menu thats active at all times for zelda or xenoblade games. And that would also make DS or even some wiiU games ports possible like kidicarus uprising without needing to make a lot of changes.

If they are going to do a Zelda remake, I want Nintendo to remake the Oracles. This is a game divided in two. While Seasons shines because of the combats, Ages shines because of the puzzles. On top of that, you can change the map in different versions, making navigating the Overworld far more satisfying

Personally, I can't see a new Pokemon game coming out when Switch 2 launches. That franchise typically has a track record of being behind when it comes to releasing new games on new consoles. For instance, LGPE came out a year after the Nintendo Switch came out in 2017. I reckon we'll see Legends Z-A on the Switch and then see a Gen 10 game on the Switch 2 in late 2025. As such, I'll probably get the Switch 2 when Gen 10 Pokemon comes out or we get something like Mario Kart 9 or Mario Maker 3. One of the three.

Honestly, while i do agree with your opinions on smash 6, i believe it would be highly improbable for the game to be that good since, if i remember correctly, sakurai retired or something, so i doubt they could find someone to make the next game better than the last.
