Being part of the birthing experience is truly moving, even though (with animals) they can usually do everything themselves. On a second grade field trip to a farm, I watched a cow give birth. Wow! Upon my request, the farmer allowed me to stay with the mother and calf. I am convinced the mom and baby of any species are comforted by the presence of another caring being at such a time. I never had a pet before that. Now, MANY decades later, I have never been without one.

Yes, I too agree that a free democratic independent country is being invaded by a dictator, and no one is helping, unless your sitting on billions of barrels of oil like Kuwait. Good heartwarming stories like this Dodo video is what's needed.

Fosters have to be pretty good at it so they can open their home to more foster animals. Fosters are to help socialize animals and deal with health issues that would prevent an animal from being adopted. Letting them go is hard but it frees up the home for other animals!!

They already have 5 dogs and a farm so they didn’t keep her because they didn’t want to have a herding dog around the farm ☺️

Puppy tip for anyone in the comments from someone who's helped a lot of mamas!! If a puppy isn't breathing well you can angle them downwards (head down, booty up) to try and get some of the mucous out of their lungs. In worse cases you can also hold them VERY securely (but gently!) and swing them up and down carefully so gravity can clear their lungs. Your other option is scruffing them (holding them by the scruff and lifting them up) which causes them to yell and also helps clear the mucous (With smaller breeds be EXTRA careful, I've only worked with Great Danes so this may not be entirely universal advice)

What an amazing momma, 10 puppies with all born healthy and well is a blessing, the joy and love in that house especially with 10 little puppies running around must have been incredible. I love seeing dog families either getting to stick together or go to a family/friends where they'll still see eachother. She must be so proud, and rightly so! =)

❤❤❤ We rescued a blue heeler and she surprised us with 7 puppies after a while. She was such a great mother, right up to us finding wonderful furever homes. She lived a happy life while we had her and we miss her (RIP Cyrie 🌈)

Thank you for fostering Lucy! Your video brought back all my wonderful memories of my cattle dog, Missy, who I lost in May from complications of diabetes. One of Lucy's puppies looked just like her! All dogs are beautiful but cattle dogs are the best!!!

Ok here is a story. One day it was summer break and me and my brother went to our grandma's house, but when my parents came home I wasn't expecting the little bundle of joy the brought with them. She was a little stray puppy that my dad saw on the side of the road, when he saw her he was like " Oh, I gotta save that little one". Now she is with us at home, and her name is Lady.

This brings back so many memories. My mom was a dog breeder for years before our dogs started passing away. We had around 6 dogs for a long time and litters just kinda happened, because none of them were spayed or neutered, and then we always helped the momma’s through birth. Most of the time we ended up with somewhere from 8 to 14 puppies. It somehow almost always ended up being the middle of the night that they would go into active labor, but we stayed up all night just to monitor things as it went. I have fond memories of giving them their first baths and drying them and playing with them and their first time on grass before they were old enough to go to forever homes.
