One of the best rig rundowns ever.

In 1997 I saw Tim C busking on Grafton Street in Dublin City. Just sitting on a small guitar amp playing a P bass, but with a really overdriven tone. He had long bleached hair and no-one knew who he was... Big crowd standing around watching but not crowding him. I couldn't believe how this guy played, rocking melodies but with amazingly quick fills. Hands like lightening..!! So about a year later I spotted the same guy on an MTV interview sitting with Tom Morello, same tattoos & all... I was thinking "Sweet.! That guy's talent has been spotted & he's gonna go do some big stuff"... When Tom Morello started slagging him off for going backpacking round Europe busking & stuff I realised, f@ck.... That's Timmy C for Rage.!!! Said he loved backpacking & staying in hostels & being a bit anonymous for a change... What a dude..!! I couldn't believe it.!! Totally kicking myself for not recognising him when I was standing 2 foot away. Balls... Also great to see he's still cool as....

I have listened to his music for going on 30 years and never heard his actual voice (his music voice has, ironically made my MTB times faster) So cool! I had to add, his enthusiasm is rare, and everyone in the world could benefit from this kind of enthusiasm. Be that way, or find people like that.

I just watched the best Rig Rundown ever..... and I have seen them all.

Tim is as legit as u can get, fuckin awesome dude. Playing bass, touring, mountain biking, hell yeah. Dude knows how to keep life fun apparently. Knows how to stay young for sure, and that's always a good thing. It's the key to being happy, never feel old.

What a cool dude. Not what I'd call a virtuoso, but to me, even more meaningful, this man has power and FEEL. He has such an insane sense of rhythm and a creativity which I really find is more impressive. I love his riff on "No Shelter" for example, so cool and simple.
