Our cabinets our made in Ohio, the speakers are made by Eminence in Kentucky. Circuit boards are fabricated in Pennsylvania. All of our metal work is made in upstate New York. The Bang & Olafsuen parts are designed in Denmark and made in the far east. Small parts such as resistors, capacitors, etc...are simply not made in the USA anymore. I hope this gives you the information you were looking for. Best, Dave B.

When I took the tour in both locations both Dave’s treated me very well. Their products is up to par and sound. That’s why I use Aguilar! Plus reliability for how many years. Not just a company that opened up yesterday and closes today!

True. What I liked (and didn't know) was that these were not just surface mounted components. Its not point to point construction but it would seem their products are more durable than surface mounted parts that can suffer from heat failure.

Nice look into the Aguilar shop. BTW that solder joint at 0:52 is bound to fail sooner or later. I hope it was resoldered properly...

Exactly. Also where are screw drivers with torque control? Now I see that there is no possibility to achieve repeatabilty. Where are ESD gloves where they touch electronic component...?

I've been soldering profesionally for over 40 years. I cringed when I saw that connection. That said, I just ordered a Tone Hammer 500. I'll be sure to take it apart and check all the solder joints.

See above. By law, you are not allowed to say that something is "Made in the USA" unless virtually ALL of the parts were fabricated in the USA. Since almost no individual components such as transistors, pots, etc...are made in the USA, assembled in the USA is the legal and proper label. Also, if a manufacturer is just screwing together a couple of sub-assemblies, you are not allowed to say "assembled in the USA". The product has to be really be built here.

so sad that we don't make components in the US... but I think sourcing from Taiwan, Germany, UK, Hong Kong, Singapore, etc.. is always preferable to China.. I believe McIntosh in upstate NY tries to do this when possible.. But I agree, legally it's assembled in the USA.

well dave says in the video at 2:22 that the power amp board is a Bang and Olufsen Icepower 250ASX2 module. So it's not made or designed by Aguilar but rather is purchased and integrated into the Aguilar amp. the pre and power amp boards appear to be a mix of surface-mounted and through-hole components. and it's definitely not point-to-point construction, i doubt any bass amps are made that way.

looks like the amps and pedals are just assembled at that facility in NYC. the circuit boards for the preamps, power amps (which play a major role in the sound quality and tone) appear to be made elsewhere (maybe not in the US)...would be nice to know where exactly.

Nice to see something made in the US. Surprised that they are made in NYC which is expensive. What about their bass cabs?

I just got myself a Tone Hammer 350. This thing sounds hollow. The tech 21 vt bass pedal does make everything sound good. Next time I’ll just get a tube head.

The 250ASX2, while rated at 500W in BTL mode, can only deliver 200W @ 0.05% THD into 8 ohms. Besides, class-d technology is not mature enough for driving full-range speakers. They are great for subs, not for hi fi. Once class-d amps can be operated at 1 MHz switching frequency or more, then I'll consider them for Hi Fi...

By government standards an item only has to be assembled in this country in order for a company to claim that it is "made in the US".

Really? I think it's cute when your bands live performance sounds like shit because your bassist has no idea about tone, regardless of how awesome your vintage amps and guitars sound.
