Jojo, stand tall n you're far better off than most Americans right now. I had to retire unexpectedly at 48, it sucks but I just don't buy new trucks n such. Thankfully I had my home paid off n very small amount of debt. Imho, manyyy people are going to become jobless very soon. As that's part of their plans to destroy our country n way of life here in the United States. We are purposely being destroyed financially right now with this wide open borders n Ukraine bs. We have literally no business supporting anyone in the world especially Ukraine. Treasonous criminal politicians have their stashes n care nothing about the American People. By spring we'll have our nuclear weapons tested unfortunately.

I carry a traditional Flashlight and a Multi-Tool on my person at ALL times! I have a Sandwich Bag FILLED with Cotton Balls soaked in Vaseline in my Kit. We have a 600 Watt Solar Array on our Garden Shed. The wires are ran into the house to a Charge Controller & Lithium Battery Bank. I can light EVERY room in the hose whenever I want to completely off grid. We have several "Head" Lights. We have several Sawyer Mini Filters. We're storing about 40 Gallons of Water. There's a year-round stream near us we can draw from. We have Paracord AND Duct Tape. I TOTALLY agree with you regarding medical! I'm working on trying to get a TWO YEAR Supply of y Prescription Meds. Also planning to build a KING KONG Sized 1st Aid Kit! We have a good supply of Candles. We already heat our home with an Off-Grid Kerosene unit. Our External Shelter is a Van we set up for camping. Boomsticks & Freedom Seeds, I do not discuss. I personally WILL NOT BARTER AMMO! I AM weak in Cordless Tools. I DO have a good supply of "Wrenching" items. Communications is a HUGE one for me! My Wife & I are both Licensed Ham Operators. So is our Pastor! My Two Multi Band Yaesu's are socked away in am EMP Box. I liked your comment about not eating the whole Elephant a one time. TRUE! The setup I shared took EIGHT YEARS to put it all together. I think EVERY DIME was well spent! I cannot put into words the peace of mind I feel, knowing my wife will be sheltered, warm, fed, and protected! And this is what God commands me to do as the Husband in the home!!!!

I have been saving lint as a firestarter. I have several sandwich zip lock bags stuffed full. It is so easy to gather, and I do laundry twice per day. I have a sweater that I love for bedtime, but it gets fuzzballs in it. A razor blade can get more than enough to get a good spark going, so I decided not to trash the sweater.

@@HavocQPandemoniumOffical i disagree but i am in aus where fireaems are less prevalent. It is good to let your competitors know you are armed. It works as a preventative. But your right as to not let them know how much, where or how. Predators mark soft targets. In fact if you have excess ammo and are trading with allies this allows you to expand your sphere of control by a large margin. Obviously you sre not going to trade anything with hostiles. Why would you? Your a prepper.. you have everyrhing you need. Only trade with good people. In facr it may be worthwhile while armed to attempt ro purchase ammo from a hostile so as to allow them to rhink you are unarmed.

Same can be said about alcohol, tobacco and other drugs. People who use drugs (alcohol, tobacco, etc) are more dangerous because millions of people on Earth use drugs (alcoghol, tobacco etc) as a way of relaxing and escaping reality...and they usually undermine the level of addiction they have. They can easily become desesperate and may do very questionable things in order to obtain the drugs (alcohol, tobacco etc). Unfortunatetly, we have a culture of recreational drugs, If you sell recreational drugs (beer, tobacco etc) they will assume you have more, they will come back for more drugs...and when they are desesperate for consuming drugs (beer, tobacco etc) they will come back to you and they may not accept a NO as an answer.

Having multiple ways to cook and heat water is vital. If you have an electric range and your power goes out, you need backup systems. A propane burner camp stove or even a side burner on an outdoor grill will do for short term outages. A wood-fueled rocket stove (easy to diy one ahead of time) is a good longer-term solution.

A survival suggestion for lights. If you are bug out, which is different than recreational camping or outdoors activities, if you are trying to bunker in place, obtaining dark color filters for flashlights and lamps to keep the lights down low. I use red with low lumen bulbs. I have a military issue angle flashlight that has filters, I use the red and blue combined to make purple light, almost like a black light.

@@wheelie642 EMF weapons will destroy electronics, but a good old fashioned flash light with batteries stored not inside. Chances are people will be looting for your food and they wont have expensive equipment to see with infrared electronics. Ive done some stealth camping and patrolled around my camp site with a red filter in an 90 degree military issue flashlight on in my tent, I could not see it at all from hundred feet away. And if you are in an aera where it is very cold in winter, you will probably be using a mr heater, which the burning heat of that will be ten times more detectable than a little old fashioned military 90 degree flashlight with the red filter.

Knives, I have several. I bought several decent cheap pocket knives for my back packs, medical first aid kit and so on. I pocket carry a very good expensive one and have several fixed blade, a traditional K Bar and a beater blade for wood processing. But getting a good solid fixed blade knife that you can hit with logs, axes or hammer for splitting wood for fire starting. Don't use your good blades for this task, save them for skinning your food or cutting ropes, get an old beater for tasks like fire wood.

Another great and informative vid. However, my opinion about preppers using the word 'hoard' is that it gives off a negative vibe. Hoarding is when you purchase all of something for yourself without allowing others to buy the item. Hoarding is also the act of collecting and keeping everything in a huge mess. Preppers are not hoarding, they are systematically getting the items they need over time and utilizing proper storage. No hoarding by preppers...unless they're hoarding, of course! Someday the time may come when preppers are considered hoarders (especially if they keep saying 'hoard') and rooted out for that reason. Sorry, long-winded opinion, but I stand by it.

Thank you for your video. Regarding 0:58, having butane lighters for starting a fire. A propane torch with a self igniting piezo quartz head is essentially a big lighter that can start a fire, heat metal pots, cook, barbecue, melt substances, solder and braze. Propane canisters themselves are useful as fuel for a propane camping stove or for a propane camping lantern.

One thing a lot of people forget is a way to repair clothing. Have needle, thread, buttons, scraps of denim, extra elastic, know how to mend your clothes. Gather non-electric replacements for kitchen and garage. Hand crank flour mills, coffee grinders, percolators. Hand drill, several types of saws, manual fluid transfer pumps, etc. And please don't forget to stock up on pure salt-no iodine or other additives. Not only will your food taste better, but you can preserve meat by salt curing it. Keep a box of contractor grade trash bags in your car. Tons of uses. Make lists for shelter in place vs get outta town. Stay organized and alert.

I can think of a multitude of things to barter with but in my opinion I'm not going to barter with bullets unless it's a close close friend but to go somewhere where bartering is taking place, you don't know who your bartering with and if you barter your Bullet to the wrong person he turns around and shoots you and takes the food back or whatever you Bartered for, so that's my opinion on bartering with bullets. When I was working really good I did stock up on quite a bit of bullets and black powder. I got into black powder quite a number of years ago I can't tell you exactly but when the bullet shortage got started I got started on my black powder shooting again and got quite a bit of black power now I also learned how to reload a few things. I mean you could take a regular shotgun and make a black powder rifle out of it or shotgun if you have primers and I also know how to reload primers oh, yes it can be done. For that matter reach down and grab a handful of gravel put down the barrel and shove a leaf in it so it don't fall out. As far as some of the other stuff that you brought up, fire well my wife and I used to smoke and we quit and there is a lot of Lighters laying around well not laying around most of them's in my bug-out and camping stuff. After she passed away I found all kind of lighters in her room. Stockpiling food well when you're on a low fixed-income like I am it's hard to do, but before the big cough hit actually well before that I learn how to forage which is great in the summertime but lean in the winter. On communication I've only got one neighbor close enough I can yell across the Gully at and we could probably run strings on a can. When I was working a lot I really should have gotten into Ham radios, but I didn't. Anyway this was a good video showing what you really should stock up on so anybody else reading this needs to really listen to him and do it if you can. Y'all stay vigilant now you hear!

My condolences Terry, that's a hard go. It's hard to ever get interested with someone else I have found. Dating sites are nothing but entrapment for financial means for most. As almost every gal asks if you own your own home. An if you do n its paid off, you climbed their ladder runs faster. Most are looking for a fun time, n most need a $$$ maker to make ends meet financially. I know that's not about prepping per se. But if you're single, you can get lonely in our ole age.

Can't agree more about solar sizing. Triple the anticipated need unless you are in a predominantly sunny location etc. Comms: For radios you should have a CB, GMRS, and Ham. People write off CB yet it is very common and could be an intel goldmine in shtf. GMRS is the newer thing (in terms of adoption compared to cb) but its UHF so very line of sight. Still, very useful. Ham requires a test to get the license but the technician level test is really easy so it's worth doing. Remember there needs to be redundancy in everything.

Never barter ammo, and yes, if the SHTF incident goes on long enough, you will have to battle your neighbors, especially in densely populated areas. Have you seen how people get after 1 week without electricity? Most Americans have very little food supplies or method of sanitizing water. They rely on Amazon, Door Dash and all other conveniences. Give it a month and they will be at your door.

Bic lighters are nice but I also have the old time Zippo lighters that take lighter fluid with the cotton inside. You can "refill" these type of lighters with almost any type of flammable fluids. You cannot refill a Bic lighter unless you have a refillable type. You will almost always have a small amount of flammable fluid for your Zippo but what happens when you run out of refill gas?

Tetanus shot is a scam. They pushed it on college girls because it had birth control hormones in it that can last for years. At this point, I would not be trusting any product coming out of the medical industrial complex.
