Be VERY careful buying Sillcock Keys. There are many on the market that are not in spec and so, worthless. If you find it's not worth the weight in your go-bag, keep it in your vehicle.

The majority of the time, a needle nose pliers have allowed me access to water on the majority of commercial water spigots that I’ve come across on service jobs.

If you can't get water out of your tap in your kitchen, what makes you think the outdoor taps (connected to the same water supply) are still going to work?
@SurvivalDispatchNewsСағат бұрын
Ever heard of gravity? One of the best places to get water is from commercial buildings that typically have holding tanks on the roof. Even if they don't the internal pipes from multiple stories are probably full of water at the beginning of an event and gravity will transfer it to the sillcock valve.

My dad always said the same to me when I first started riding - ride like everyone is out to kill you! That mentality has got me out of some sticky situations, made my situational awareness better and made me a better car driver. Honda is über reliable, a good pick in my opinion 👌🏼 Thanks again for another awesome video gents, you two work well together 🤜🏼

Hi Jason! Just viewed this video tonight. I'm in a suburban area and feel that IF I needed to sleep out, I think I could use this set up to protect me in one of the many parks in our South Florida area......but would be concerned about the "critters" like snakes, gators (yes! they come out at night too) and some crocs too.....anything you could suggest to give more protection? Thanks for all your posts! Please tell Maggie, she's so special! ALL THE BEST!

What is a meter??? Is that like inches, feet, yards, or miles, what we in the US measure by? Our government tried to push that foreign garbage on us back in the late 60's, but we fought it back then and we won. Now however, all the self centered people try to use those foreign measurements to try to make themselves sound knowledgeable and important in their own minds.

When it comes to using a poncho or cape as your only shelter and you still need rain gear to leave the shelter (like to collect firewood), I've started bringing an extra disposable clear plastic poncho as a backup. Alternatively, you could bring plastic painters' cloth or heavy-duty trash bags. The bonus to the clear plastic items is they can be used to help construct a super shelter in a cold emergency. They don't weigh much, aren't bulky and cheap to replace since they are pretty much limited use items but can get you out of conundrums like that.

ive heard the argument that if it's for only 1 night, why even make tha shelter (weather permiting). use the time traveling and/or gathering firewood. then hunker down against a tree, make a small fire.

Keeping the wind off of you will help you stay more comfortable.
@fu3zy10 сағат бұрын
@slappy8941 yeah, again weather permitting. I wouldn't recommend doing it in the snow or rain either. but you are right in that wind it's often overlooked.

@SurvivalDispatch OH ok thanks buddy! Don't laugh at me but I've got a 2006 Honda CRS or CR something 80. It's in great condition and I'm only 5ft 5 in. and it's all I need cause when I go bigger my short legs can't touch the ground cause there so tall. But for me it's got plenty of power and real light if I have to pick it up. Thanks for your videos and your great character and descent language I really do preciate it! I don't know where I can get accesses where I can mount things on handle bars and be able to strap things down while I'm riding. Would you happen to know where I can?
@jetmuchacho22 сағат бұрын
You can zip-tie spare levers behind your number plate/headlight and a small tool roll under the seat or in the airbox. If you're NOT into wrap-arounds - move your levers inboard toward the triples an inch or so (that is where they should be anyway for best leverage on the clutch lever with your index or middle finger), and put teflon tape under the mounts so they just rotate out of the way in a crash. Install a set of $20 aluminum ODI bar end plugs, or similar. Unless you spend all day riding on piles of rocks the size of beach balls, you'll be fine.
