My late Grandfather was a copper, got to love a well made barrel. Hope you’ve got somewhere dark and constant temperature to home them in.

Thank you for your content . I have a old whiskey barrel I intend to use for hard cider, but there’s separation in the planks because it’s so dry. Is it ok to use City tap water in the swelling process ?

The nail polish smell is acetone.....when distilling, the first fraction to come through is the methanol, after that what they call the "heads" (a mixture of ethanol and other chemicals) will start to come through, and acetone is one of the chemicals (present in fermentations) that gets concentrated with distillation.

Those bad boys are heavy as hell. In my first pub I sold 10 of those with Greenall's Bitter a week! F*****s to get on a stillage....

I sincerely hope you salvaged the bourbon left in them...Buffalo Trace is good Kentucky bourbon. As I understand it, bourbon can only be barreled in new barrels, and they are supposed to be White Oak - 53 gallons per barrel. I'm more of an Elijah Craig man, myself...but they both are lovely drops. Can't wait to see what you put in them...Cheers!

I’d love a barrel they look AMAZING I love whiskey , port ,sherry’s but I’d need to do a few brews on my 23ltr kit to fill one cheers 👍🍻

For the last 3 or 4 videos I'm only able to watch upto 480p. It's not my Internet speed as I can watch everything else as normal. Are uploading in 480p or is there a problem? EDIT: The last video I can watch in HD is the "What's inside the maxi 310" video
