I take my hat off to Moturiki villagers very self sufficient despite the mortuary being full. Managed to build the coffin at the last minute thanks to the multi skilled head chef. As always in most villagers the most fun is around the lovo crew. Vinaka Uraia, Josese, Pai “Son” and Bond for explaining to viewers about making lovo. Good thing with lovo baked cassava it lasts a few days longer than boiled cassava.

Cousins are a gem. Love how Josese treats you, man, so are all your cousins. They seem to be humorous most of the time but respectful all the same. Can't wait for the rest of the funeral video. The Fijian choir is among the best in the region I would say. I could listen to the choir forever even if I do not understanding the language😂

I was invited to Sabeto Village, Nadi to attend a very tradition Fijian Funeral and have to say felt very honoured and privileged to be asked to attend. My friend had family in the village and I became an adopted daughter over the years. Lots of work goes into preparation for a funeral and I took gifts of a mat, can of oil and candles for the family .It was a whole day affair and very cultural. Id never seen a cow slaughtered in such a way before and they soon cut it all up. I sat cross legged, very difficult, helping cut up vegetables etc for various recipes. The family received lots of gifts and shared some around. I was fortunate to receive a beautiful mat which I still have and treasure.

Village life runs on a different time. It can adapt, it's fun and no stress 😆 Vinaka boys. Send some lovo food 💪🙏

For a long time I’ve being watched all over KZfaq of different islander constant and their channels, but this channel guys it reminds me leaving back home at the village.
