John Deere have made a lot of tractors and have a lot of experience, but that axle /steering assembly don't look too clever, why is it not braced, seems as though it's bound to fail at some point, some webbing bridging the horizontal and vertical tubes would prevent the flexing that caused those cracks surely, or maybe I missed something?

I have got to say I owe you and Lawrence a huge thank you. I am not sure why I notice some of the things I do, but y'all were going somewhere as a family in the new Dodge. I kind of laughed when I noticed the head rest was backwards on the drivers seat. Anyhoo...I bought a new truck a few months ago and my wife keeps getting on to me for removing the head rest. I could not ride down the road with my cowboy hat on. One day last week I was driving, not sure why it came to mind, but I started laughing. I pulled over into a church parking lot. My head rest was in the back floorboard. I got it out, turned it around backwards and got back in the drivers seat. Problem solved. Now, I can now drive my new truck with my cowboy hat on. 🤠

There seems to be one thing you can count on in Nebraska, the wind, every time I have gone through Nebraska the wind is rough, even the trees grow slanted. Glad you had a good trip, I know the family missed you.

I’m sure it’s too late for the welding that Lawrence is doing on that knee, but when he gets that crack ground out, drill a hole at both ends of the crack and that should help stop the crack from getting longer. Also he can warm that up with the torch right before he starts welding and that will help keep it from cracking next to the weld. That brace idea will help out too! 💪👍

The turquoise earrings are very pretty. Sandhill cranes are pretty and very noisy. You can hear them a mile away. They winter in central FL and are brazen. Never feed them! They will come up and peck on your glass door for food. There is a saying about politicians: "like the Platte river, a mile wide and an inch deep...at the mouth". 😂😂😂

Welcome to the plains. I was born in Nebraska and then we moved to Kansas when I was in the 9th grade. Other parts of the country are beautiful, but I love the wide open spaces, especially the Flint Hills of Kansas. Sand Hill cranes… some folks hunt them and say they’re rib-eye of the sky.

I purchased that chopper the day y’all were using it. It’s great, I used it on your Southwestern recipe. It’s really good. I have cooked it a couple of times already and that chopper got things done quick. McCormick slow cooker BBQ Pulled pork seasoning in a packet, I use a couple of packages and then add the ingredients per each package to it and throw it in a slow cooker with the pork loin and it’s delicious. Everyone loves it. I exchange the brown sugar for Truvia or Splenda brown sugar. If the seal is dried out on your fridge, use Vaseline on the sealer. Lawrence is able to fix whatever needs fixing. The hamburgers sure look yummy. Glad you had a wonderful time in Nebraska.

The marinated pork loins are one of my favorites cooked on the grill. Cube up some potatoes with onions , red peppers, olive oil and spices and put on the top rack when you start your grill. 20 minutes later start the loin on th bottom grate. Just before the loin is done to 160 put on some asparagus. Brush those with olive oil and seasoning salt prior to grilling. This is a fantastic meal. Top it off with a cherry dump cake.
