hello, Andrew Your video lessons are very helpful to me. I crave more videos like these. Thing is, I'm struggling on how to write in a passive and active voice. I can't distinguish between the two, and it is more difficult to when I'm writing exams. I have failed a couple of essays because my English lecturer says I write in passive voice. Plase Andrew help me, please. the main exam is nearing and I'm panicking. Can you please conduct a lesson on passive and active voice...I really, really need it. thank you

Hi Sir, I have a confusion related to below examples, so please explain the reason about this. 1) Mark lived in Paris until 2010 = In 2010 he moved or he stopped living in Paris. 2) I will be rich until 2020 = After 2020 I will no longer be rich. I will be poor. In 2nd example, you said that 'After 2020 I will be poor', but in 1st example you said 'In 2010 he moved or he stopped living in Paris', so in 2nd example why I can't say that 'In 2020 I will be poor'. Kindly explain it.

Hello Andrew. I am from Argentina. Thank you very much for your videos. They are so clear. I would like to ask you the following : Peter is visiting my country. And I need to ask him when he is leaving Argentina. Can I ask "when are you leaving.?" But i think it is rude. Can I ask "when are you staying here till? Or "untill when are you staying?" I suppose that "up to when are you staying? Is not good english (Is it correct) What about "til when are you staying? A similar thing occurrs with arrival day in Argentina. Could i ask "since when are you here? " Or "when are you here since? These questions are difficult for spanish native speakers. Perhaps these questions are more natural with "how long" But I want to hear a date as an answer instead "for two weeks" Or any other period of time. Thanks in advance.
@CrownAcademyEnglish
@CrownAcademyEnglish 6 жыл бұрын
Hi Hugo. "When are you staying here till?" is fine. Another good way of asking this is to say "How long is your stay?" For the other question, you could simply as "When did you arrive?" Best wishes. Andrew
