Sometimes you've gotta go...right/wrong/or whatever. This season has been challenging with slow emergence of beans early on and uneven ripening as a result. None of our beans are ready yet, and were all planted by the end of May. Just haven't had the warm/sunny/breezy days to complete drydown. We've planted wheat in November with mixed results...if you mud it in and the weather turns off cold and wet it's a waste of time. A few warm days with a nice warm shower seem to get it off and running.

North Central Wisconsin here. No rain all summer now it won’t dry out. Unbelievable.

Same in South Jersey, rain every 3 days. Yesterday was mostly sunny and 35-40mph wind.10 minutes of downpour at 8:00 am today. Then, back to sunny and windy. These tropical storm remnants keep on coming.

I always like wheat for the summer bump in cash flow.. plus double crops depending on the year. I have never in my years have seen so much seed corn still in the field north of Elkhart and along the state line. Onward never backwards.

So this 1850 large diesel engine type has a lot of leakage type incidents. Without a turbocharger lifetime will not be as endangered. It looks like these early engines are not sealed well to the head. They seem to do well until ressurected but must be rebuilt perfectly. The Oliver guy Losey does this well perfectly. Your 1850 seems to be leaking.
@Oliver66FarmBoy16 күн бұрын
I don’t have an 1850 and they never used turbos to begin with..and the 354 Perkins used in the 1850’s had very few issues through its production. You have no clue what you’re talking about.

The non farming non tractor people do not realize how heavy tractor tires can be with the weights and ballast. Kinda dangerous. Heck the rears on my cub must be 200 lb each.
