From harvesting sugarcane, extracting juice and then preserving it by producing organic jaggery with traditional jaggery making technique.

That's a yummy sugarcane product, we call it "SANGKAKA" here in our country--Philippines, we mold it in a coconut shell to form like a half coconut, we used it in making sweet delicacies specially during special celebrations like feast, weddings, Christmas and New year as pasalubong or gifts to people who visited our hometown. Keep it up and pass it to the next generations for them to prosper more.

Back in 1974, I lived in the Delta region of Bangladesh for breakfast I would have puffed rice, reconstituted milk, and Gur, I never knew where Gur came from or how it was made, thank you for a timeless video.

Congrats. In my childhood we used the same technology to make jaggery. Offcourse we used bulls to grind the sugarcanes.. With affection. From Thamizh Nadu India.

Yes dude.. you are absolutely right. Alhamdulillah (thank God) I realised before it was too late. Now I don't care if people call me a backward class but I am gonna stick to my village, farm, roots, ways, everything. This is the real priceless gem. Time consuming but totally worth it. Sorry if my ignorance fails me. Honest question. This is sugarcane juice condensed down? So is this the same or similar to taking sugar and making a toffee/caramel (I know caramel adds dairy)? I mean a less ‘purified’ version than using the white sugar cane?

Вот этот поддон отворачивает от продукта. И сделан как будто бетон месить и вид как будто в нем и правда бетон месили. Попробовать, как на вкус то что они делают,мака отличается от магазинного сахара. Я так понимаю это карамель.

- organic- and - Bio - and -back to nature, done the old ways -, THE -in thing- do do now. And of course it will cost 3x moe... Since it was just one try of -sugar- I wonder if that was a - teaching - film, how it was done and maybe still is being done. Because commercial viable it for sure can not be? While there are of course no expensive tools being used, many of the things shown are done by hand. The tractor needs diesel. And all the people around need also get paid. There was and i hope it still is, how the same thing is being done in MALAYSIA...It was on a small scale, done for tourists and visitors. And one paid through the nose for having something -bio-....

Your title is misleading, no where in the world organic sugarcane can be produced. In Pakistan a lot of pests attack in sugarcane including borers and sucking. But thanks for sharing gur making process.

BS - here in Europe we can choose between several brands of organic whole cane sugar. They all come from Latin America or the Caribbean.
