Well I think depend the model. My state police uses the Harley Davidson Electra Glide Police & BMW R1200 RT (Police version) and they say that the Harleys are faster than BMWs.

The 2 armored Land Cruisers are an interesting addtion to the motorcade, especially since they've got US Governemt plates. Guessing they're embassy vehicles.

Awesome footage! Great vehicles. Unfortunality last year I missed the motorcade twice in Paris.. Good to see the Dutch riot police is present as well (dark uniforms with the yellow shoulders)!

@@MrHenkkkie nope look at the license plate white with red letters and numbers, that's Belgian, you also can see it cause of the symbol left from the word Police. If it would have been dutch police, in the netherlands licenses plates are yellow with black letters and numbers. I'm Belgian myself so guess i know the difference.

The US President's security team (the US Secret Service) always travel in large convoys, and require any country's they visit to do the same. This was a large security operations due to the NATO Summit in Brussels and because there was so many police involved, they had to call on police from across Belgium and the Netherlands to assist.

it looks like an F-350 or 450 6 door modified with an E-series van rear end. (based on the super duty truck line-up). Based on that dome on top, I'd say it's some kind of communication command center "van".

If you see three of the Presidential helicopters flying one behind the other, it means that the President is in one of them. They fly like that to confuse anyone trying to target Marine 1. When he goes overseas, they only fly Two of the Presidential copters.

There are a lot of police cars, so I don't think they need extra undercover one and I think diplomats would drive in something better then just a van, right? Those are the cars that I think undercover cops would be in 2:20 and diplomats might be in the Mercedez and Volvo at 2:32 but there are still more civil cars then jsut these few.

belgium has its own special forces: cgsu and sfg, and also its own secret service... no need to think the dutch sf were involved just because you're dutch ;) the few dutch-plated black vans you saw were from a luxury shuttle service.

The secret service keeps cars and trucks made all over the world in there fleet, many of the Audi,s Benz,s etc are actually secret service cars, You just cant go driving around in Europe in a Crown vic and not stick out like circus float.

Belgian police were swamped with high profile events during the week NATO summit, protests, Worldcup and so on. Dutch police were there to reinforce the police forces, like Belgian police does during the Kings' day in the Netherlands. This is not something unusual to see, this also happens during European football games sometimes.

Lumko Ntshinka Any US president is one of the worlds most important persons, Even in safe countries there is risk that the US isn't willing to take. In dangerous countries the convoy includes Humvees and Identical SUVs one of which would carry the president.
