In this latest video and Part 2 of the President Harrison II AM/FM CB Radio transceiver review, I show both AM receive and an unexpected contact with John on the Rock of Gibraltar.
It was even more impressive to contact him on a Maxcom emergency transceiver as well!
I think this was a great test for the new President Harrison II transceiver.

Fantastic contact Dave! I have just bought a President Harry 3. I have had the Truman and Harry 2 in the past, great little radios. I am chasing FM and AM dx these days so love finding videos like this. Amazingly clear audio and signal strength considering the distance. Can't believe the maxcom made the trip too! Keep up the great videos! 👍

Nice one Dave but you won't get away with telling the wife they all cost £29.99 Lol I have a couple of new radios here - I think I might have a problem Lol. Keep up with the great videos mate.

That's a Sirio, not the Avanti. Years ago I set my mom up with a Avanti Sigma 4, a TRC-465, and an Interceptor amp. She loved talking to English stations every morning.

@@spaceflight1019 Actually it is neither, it is a Vortex Quasar Q82 MKII that Steve 26AT015 manufactured, far larger/stronger than any of the others and it's mounted on a MM0CUG box section mast, fed with SSB Ecoflex 10, into a Vortex 1.1 balun

How can those guys on channel 6 be so loud? I also hear them on no skip days, and they often seem to be mobile, how come I hear them and others from the US don't?
