Is that the one that claims to do AM, FM, & SSB, at full legal limit, but only does AM at 0.5W?

No, it puts America first. It cuts gas and cost of living prices in half. It doesn't fall on stairs. It doesn't get lost on stage. It isn't weak. It Doesn't go into a belly laugh when asked a serious question. Its coming whether some people like it or not.@@dereks2042

all the guys across the pond certainly enjoy FM CB.. wish it was more popular here. unfortunately everyone would have to buy new radios..

I think it will catch on at some point but probably with the off-roaders and people who want to use CB as an alternative to GMRS

I'm not an 11 meter guy... but if I was, I'd get one of these. I like the many of the features on this but the background color choice knocks it out of the park. Very good review.

Great vid, thanks! So is it time to get rid off AM radios yet? Dang it, I only got McKinley couple years ago. Was the Boston drive at the end of the vid in FM? So, can there be two guys transmitting on same channel with one in FM and the other in AM and I can hear either depending on what modulation my (new) received would be set at? Thanks for all the links, very helpful.

No, AM is still way more used than FM. FM is best if you want to talk to someone you know in close proximity. The Boston footage was in AM on channel 19. AM can only talk to AM and FM to FM - you can't cross AM to FM

nice video :) i'd get one but my next cb is going to be the Uniden BearTracker 885 & thats going in my tahoe. im a Cobra guy but i'll give the Uniden a try.. & i'd even give President a try as well. whats the difference between AM & FM? .

You do a great job with reviews Rob. I was going to pull the trigger on a FCC President McKinnley but then the Radioddity QT60 came up in the FarPoint Farms and Mower Junkie channels. Of course it isn’t a legal mod. I think I will sell that one and get a McKinnley. How do you like your new Yaesu? I bought one two days ago to replace my IC-7300. I heard to make sure not to use a HDMI converter and monitor on the DVI port on that radio because it will damage the display board in the radio unless they have fixed that issue.

The yaesu is great. I haven't had much time to really dig in to it but so far i've been very pleased. I have an old DVI monito I may use on it eventually but for now I've just been running the built-in screen

@SevenFortyOne I have a panadapter device I added to my IC-7300 that connects to a SDRPlay device and I use SDRPlay software on my computer. I was hoping I can do that with the FTDX10.
