We are allowed to have one spouse, having more than one will get you excommunicated. Our leaders all have only one (or no wife), however, when someone in the church gets married in the temple they get sealed to their spouse, and if the wife dies, and the husband gets re-married, they will be sealed to two wifes, so technically speaking President Nelson is sealed to two women since his first wife died and he was remarried. I'm not sure about any other recent general authorities though. If you are referring to early church leaders, it was a similar situation take Joseph Smith for example, he was sealed to a couple dozen women who all were alive, and he was sealed to them. Despite what people say pretty much all of them were non-sexual relationships, they were sealed to him and went on with their normal lives. Like the woman who people like to talk about who was 14, if I'm not wrong she had a journal that was kept (I haven't read it, just say someone say this, it's on my list of things to do though) and she says herself that after the sealing, she had next to no contact with Joseph. Thanks for referring to us as a cult and being respectful about it! I'm glad people are starting to use cult in the proper context and not the misconception that it's bad. To be fair though, if I were you I would've used religion since cult applies to more than just religions.
