A kind gentle man that made everyone smile. He set the example of what a president should be. Yet the American people allowed the Republican Party and Fox News to demonize him every step of the way. We should be shamed of our self’s for letting that happen. We can have a healthy debate on policy as we all should. However this man had honor, integrity and ethics.

As a Canadian I have to sit and watch American politics from the outside...but I'll say this. I've always liked this guy...I continue to like this guy...and I wish to god he could have remained the president instead of the man who replaced him. I grew up watching JFKs speeches...when they happened to come on the tube...and was impressed by his manner of speech. I've seen many politicians come and go but from the first time I heard Obama speak he reminded me so much of JFK. Of course I realize that both these gentlemen are just that...men...given to folly and foible as we all are but it's nice to hear a leader who knows how to speak and bring out the best or at least better in people. The current resident in the White House does quite the opposite...stirring up the lowest of human emotion for the most part. There was another notable man who made his mark in the 1930s and for a time looked to be a great leader before ultimately leading his people into an unjust world war and the destruction of his nation. I...unfortunately... see many parallels between the two and very much look forward to the day when Trump is but a footnote in history. Hopefully we can get there without him bringing disaster on us all. Trump is.....not suitable for the office he has taken on.

I am from India. It's my bad luck that we will never ever be so fortunate to get this man, who I just adore, as the President of my country. Obama, you live a hundred years, love you. Don't know if I will ever be able to meet you in person, but know that as long as people like you are there, there is hope for common men like us , in every part of the world.

I am not American but I keep watching anything about Pres. Obama. I especially watch all his speeches all over the world. He is a very good human being, a very dignified, very intelligent person which is so missing in the US politics now..
