Presonus have dropped firmware update 1.19 for the revelator io24 Removing the much loved Stream Mix Feature. So today I will show you how to now correctly configure/setup OBS, Discord loopback featues with the new firmware update.

I agree that removing the "streaming button" feature is a major fubar, particularly without warning or explanation. Thanks for the heads-up. I will wait before I update the firmware.

Finally, someone talking about it, I tried to explain to a support member how important those 3 virtual outputs were to my setup and that the mic output they gave us lacked basic features such as a mute button. All they said was they were 'streamlining' the revelators features, that 2 virtual outputs was good enough for most people and that I should make a suggestion for the feature requests page. I wish more of the userbase were up in arms about this, it's the only way I think anything is going to change.

Honestly if you've purchased it for three output mixes and they have taken it away I'd really push them for some kind of refund. For me as is with the new update it's still fine for my use but if I was using stream mix plus mix b and c I'd be raging about it to them 🤦🏼‍♂️😤

Any update about this? I was very close to purchasing this and the 3 virtual outputs are also very important for me. I can’t believe a firmware update brought that down to 2. I’d be extremely upset with Prosonus if I were you.

I don't have any issue I use Mix A as my stream mix, mix b as my mic out mix, voice chat is virtual b, and system out is virtual a, and playback is music and web browser sources. before this update i had experienced many bugs, but now everything is working as expected.

I well love to see more detail video for every bottomg in it I see my sef doing doble audio in my streaming and in window mixe if you put you mind out in 100 percent it dose weird gilsht the it clip

Your videos on this device have been really helpful. I'm just glad to get an audio interface with a dsp under 200 bucks, even if the software is a little wonky. So they let you keep both the original and the replacement?? Mine has this issue and I've been thinking about sending it in. I can hear it with off the shelf headphones. More annoying than anything else.

thanks for the kind words. yes I still have both units but that was due to being contacted directly from presonus. you will have to register your product on there site than raise a support ticket they will ask you to send and audio recording of the issue before arranging the replacement.

Yea if you don't mute a in stream mix a it dose sound doble on my stream wearid bug but many I did something wrong

Thank you for these videos - I've just bought one of these and I'm looking forward to getting it set up and seeing what an improvement it makes to my audio / mic quality over my current setup which consists of an aging Blue Snowball with a pop-filter and pretty much raw input from the mic with a little gating, compression and such through Streamlabs...yes, it's not very good! XD I saw a video as well that illustrates how someone could use a stream deck to implement the sliders and such on there instead of needing a tablet so I'm gonna give that a try too and see about setting up some custom commands for the stream deck so I can adjust sliders in the DAW on there but your guide on setting this kit up is most likely going to prove invaluable for me so thank you for showing us how to do this stuff! =]

the remove of "Mix C" is the biggest downgrade for me over the " stream mix" removed. With 3 independant channel, it could have been the best interface for streaming single pc

Hey, is there any chance you could (even if you don't have a second mic) try setting the gain up high on the second channel, then unplug your io24, and plug it back in - your gain setting values on both channels should be correct but is the preamp actually working (are your levels super low)? (if I have both channels with a gain value set, the io24 starts up and shows the correct gain values, but the preamps applies no gain untill I either toggle phantom power or change either gain setting (even by just +/-1db) which then kicks both preamps back to life) Setting either channel to 0db gets things back to normal, starting up with the correct gain on the other channel.

I just bought this device and it is a mess. I'm stuck in an "update to latest firmware" infinite loop to v1.19. It's impossible to use this device. Constant flashing LED buttons. Reinstalling drivers fixed it temporarily until I change any setting again using the Universal Control software. Return to sender. Next! :-/

Just came across this video after trying to research more about the Revelator, thanks for all the explanations! With all the changes they've done, would you still recommend this over something like the Motu M4 (then running VSTs and Voicemeeter)? It seems like quite a handy box still, and I can't tell if I rather have these features built in or just run my usual VSTs for EQ, Comp, etc. If you could give me your thoughts, I'd appreciate it!

If they launched it today without the headphone issues and I hadn’t had an entire stream mix removed then yes it’s still a fantastic audio interface. It feels like us first buyers where 6 month beta testers 😂 But even with two stream mixes and all the dsp it’s hard not to like it. Im a big fan of of voice meter but I do prefer the ease of use of the io24 and being able to monitor the built in effects vs vst.

@@thefullsetup Thanks for the quick response to my question! I'm pretty happy to hear that its still a solid choice with some key features being removed. I'm now debating if I should keep this Motu M4 boxed for an easy refund and pick up this instead. My biggest worry is that I would prefer more virtual cables for actual content creation, but for streaming this one definitely catches my eye more than the Motu.

Honestly, I don't really care that much about stream mix button, I'm fine with having just mic/instrument "source" for anything that needs just the mic. BUT! Thing that bothers me about that mic/inst thingy, is that it doesn't follow mic1 and mic2 mutes in software, even though I have global mute option turned on in settings, which is just weird. I'd happily use that input just for discord in my case as I don't really need to send anything apart from my mic to discord, but then I have to have a separate mute button to just mute my mic in discord, even though I've already muted myself on stream. I see where they are going with it, but yeah, implementaion is a little bit weird.

I agree as is it still has enough input and outputs for my setup. If I purchased it now and never had the option it wouldn't be a problem. But as another commenter has mentioned if you purchased it for three seperate output mixes its a big let down. Also consider that myself and many others have already uploaded guides showcasing the feature which has or will miss sell people because presonus removed it. And yes the mute needs resolving I find it less of an issue as have the app on an iPad next to my stream deck. But I'd certainly like to see it resolved in a future update.

So is this still an alternative to GoXLR mini? I need one with submixes. How many „faders“ dies it have? I want to have a channel for "chat", "music", "game" and last "system" for all windows (sounds, edge, chrome etc). the new firmware is v1.21

What I really find annoying is, that as a stream interface the xlr input is in front an the headphone jack at the rear. They should change what makes on a table much more sense.

Is this interface recognised automatically in win/mac audio devices list or is Universal Control mandatory to make it show up in the system? If its standard usb audio device and UC is just an addition then probably will work on linux. Did anyone try that? Even with some live usb?

Ok on its site ive read:"Because it's USB class-compliant, there are no special drivers or applications to download and install" - so it should work on linux too. However without UC neither you can contol it from host computer nor (probably) discover it from remote android/ios device
