Want to unlock a hidden map feature in Starfield? All you have to do is press this button. It's a secret feature of a previous patch, and Bethesda kept this completely quiet! But don't worry because I'll show you exactly how to find it.

I've been playing Starfield since day one. where you said the power names are new, that function has been there all along

Yes I have to and yes i was probably lvl 10 or 15 by time I realized you could do this but it has been there a long and the the powers have done the same

Says LB for the Starborn power names at the bottom of the page. Always has.

@@RawenWarCrow It literally says / has said "To Toggle Power Names LB" On the Starborn powers screen. Been using it since the game launched.

Unpopular opinion: I really dislike being able to craft my own ammo like a sort of anarchocapitalist space thoureau. The setting is a "grounded" nasapunk future with tons of manufacturers for this stuff. Its kinda like manufacturing my own ship parts, my own weapons etc. And its a half baked nonsensical qol thing since we can craft ammo but not medpacks, for example.

Medpack crafting is locked behind chemistry skill and a research item IIRC.

@@sabz612damax i think you can research some advanced versions of the medpack but not the regular ones we use early game. Someone dropped a mod recently including medpack crafting, though.

I do not understand why the names of powers are just shown by default. I understand a cluder issue with the system map but the powers....

You may have shown, commented early, but if you have the scanner up in your ship you can see the other planets in the system and select and jump for immersion

Yes. Using the ship's scanner to navigate instead of the star map is a great tip!

There's been an star field of bug fixes, how could someone keep up w/ that if even a SF youtuber don't. On console you might have seen the button prompt for planet names, but why to keep it hidden only on PC? It's an oversight.

Ive only seen 1 person use this a few months ago but it was only on pc..i play on xbox and it.took me about a month to figure out you had to hold the button

Show Star Names was/is essential. Was one of the first mods I put in my load order for sure.

Um this has been there all along. Since release. Also there has been a mod that allows it to stay labelled permanently.. even another mod that color codes the levels for you red is hard down to green is easy etc

The update improvement I'd like to see is to the crafting workbench. Something like Press "X" to max out the quantity. PC players have a mouse. Console players like me have a SLOW controller method. When you're making a ton of Adaptive Frames or P. Conductors it's laborious on a controller. Maybe also bump the 99 to 999 at the same time.

I wish you could change it to toggled ON by default, Rather then the need to keep toggling them on after every map opening.

Humm, dont you use fast travel? I never realy use the map when I first play it because you just need to click on the mission button to fast travel directly to the target without having to search in the map!

I'm on my final attempt to play , after May 15th I couldn't do a fresh game because everything went to crap as soon as the hunter attacks the lodge . I uninstalled my game and did a fresh reinstall . And I'm still getting the same problem , everything plays just fine until the hunter attacks the lodge . He shows up in the lodge and I have to take a bunch of his health before he disappears . Then he doesn't show up anywhere else where he's supposed to . And if I try to board my ship to go up to the eye all I get is a forever load screen trying to get into my ship . I started a new playthrough yesterday . And if I can't get past that part of the game . I guess it's time to just uninstall it and forget that I even own it . I'm so sick and tired of people in videos making a big celebration about updates . It's my experience that all they end up doing with the update is break the game .

He says ALT key in the video, Right ALT, someone says below. But I just tried it and for me it's actually Left ALT, don't know if that has to do with my German keyboard, that would be weird.

Fun fact. Planets have different colors after you scan them. Now I don't know what this means, but I'm shore they are color coded for a reason. Anyone know why they planets are colored and meaning let me know.

@@skyriminspace No. If you go to a star system. You will have all the planets in the top left. They are in a straight line. Once you scan a planet. The planet you scan in the line up in the top left will change from black unscanned to green, orange, grey. I think it has something to do with checking planets and systems for resources. Making it easier. But don't know what the color codes mean in the lineup after scanned.

@@skyriminspace I have been playing since the games release. I am thinking it's either the level of enemies on the planet or resources. I haven't tried to look it up. I just remembered about it on this video. If I figure it out I'll let you know. If you figure it out. Let me know.

@@skyriminspace I found and copied from Google. That makes the most sense. So I think I found out what these mean, they denote planet type with grey being barren planets(mercury), green being rock planets(Venus, earth and mars), orange being Gas Giant planets(Jupiter and Saturn) light blue being Ice Giant planets(Uranus and Neptune) and white being Ice planets(Pluto), the exception is with

Griff you need to play more starfeild there has been videos on the star map button to bring up the names its not our falt you don't keep up with the new info hope you get the info and do your reaserch on yt before you make a video with wrong info in in

He's all about being clickbaity and flashy, not so much about substance, always something new and fantastic ...which it often isn't, I wouldn't take any of his information for granted.
