Next time there are codes which I could have told you about which allow you to set which onion you start with!!! There's also one to set day 1 to not tutorial with all onions unlocked, so again you could have done blue only. Very cool stuff in the scene which you may not be aware of.

So we know that only Red Pikmin is possible, we know that only Yellow Pikmin is possible, and now we know that only Blue Pikmin is possible. Now we need to see if… wait… wdym mean there aren’t any colors left??? I guess we just have hope Olimar’s employer doesn’t go under, otherwise more single color challenges are abound…

I have a suggestion for a run you could try, "How many Pikmin can you grow in a single 30-Day playthrough?" Naturally, this idea is something that wouldn't really work in 2 or 4 due to them having infinite days, but could be pretty interesting in Pikmin 1 with its 30-Day limit. (It'd also be possible in 3, which has a limit of 99 days if you collect every fruit, but that'd be like three times as much work, and might end up being more tedious than anything.) The idea is to figure out which route would give the maximum possible output of Pikmin before your time limit is up, and depending on which ending you go for, you might end up with different numbers. (for example, if you want the best ending, you would need to go to the Final Trial, but save it until Day 30, whereas if you want the highest possible number regardless of ending, you'd likely be better off in a more populated area) There's also the fact that some enemies spawn and despawn on predetermined days, independently of the overall "respawn after death" system, which could have a significant impact on routing. While this particular run might be more focused on routing than execution, there's still a challenge in making sure that you kill AND collect as many enemies as early and often as possible so that they respawn more times, thus netting you more total kills and more sprouts, while finding time along the way to still make progress and unlock more areas with better yields. Plus, as you learned with that Yellow Wollywog, some enemies never respawn once killed, meaning that you can save those for when it's most convenient instead of needing to rush them asap like the rest. In short, it's almost like taking the premise of the game's Challenge Mode and applying it to the entire main story instead, and to be frank, I'm super curious about what the final total would end up being if, like the challenge maps, a perfect route could be found. Thoughts?

i think you’ve got a lot of potential with this channel, and think of it this way: folks often like binging videos so reminding to subscribe at the beginning isn’t much different from at the end

I was about to comment that you can clip out of bounds in the final trial using a pellet posy at the landing site, but I forgot that pellet posy is only in the challenge version of the stage, oops! When it came to clipping the parts through the wall, I can't help but wonder if it would have been efficient to park the Pikmin on the other end of the wall so that they could immediately latch onto the part once it started poking through. It worked either way, I'm just amused by the mental image.

I know its possible to break the white wall in impact site day one because i've done it before. You have to throw the pikmin at a specific angle against the right side wall, and the pikmin will land in range to where it grabs their aggro.

Challenges like this make me wonder if Pikmin 2 can be beaten with just 1 Pikmin type, too. (Saving Louie specifically, clearing debt would be possible just really really slow due to any pikmin being able to walk into a cave and kill all the enemies, sell them, leave, return, rinse and repeat.)

Here's something interesting. It's basically impossible to Beat day one with yellow or blue. As you won't have enough pikmin to push the box or get the part. You need to get a pikmin Extinction or olimar down and come back day 2 to get the part.

So, theoretically, Red only should be possible. Blue only is possible without bomb rocks, yellow only is possible without water traversal, so red only is just blue only and yellow only’s worst elements combined!

I wonder - do the bombs explode on contact with walls? If you can nudge them over to the walls, that might be a much easier way of getting through them for this or future challenges! I'm just not sure whether it has to be a yellow Pikmin that's the "fuse" of the bomb.

How about Pikmin 1 red Pikimin almost only, but you can use any other type given to you but not reproduce them. And only use them (yellow/blue) once per Pikmin (so you have the yellow ones die in the rock explosion). That should help with the stone walls.

I'm still very curious what the best ending looks like if you skip a Pikmin type. I'm guessing they will show up in the ending anyways since it's a cutscene, but I'm still curious. Seems from this vid that it is only possible with a solo Yellow run.
