If you X-Jet another mix you can try is KOH instead of NaOH. On a molecular level KOH is slightly smaller than sodium hydroxide which means it cuts through oil/grease molecules faster/easier than sodium hydroxide (you cannot make hard soap with KOH only liquid soap because of this). This makes potassium hydroxide a great choice for removing caked-on oil/grease. KOH is also more water-soluble than NaOH and able to rinse away grease better, especially with hot water. Does not generate as much heat when mixed with water as NaOH. You can add Super Clean to your mixture.

I have a couple questions! How did you advertise your business initially? And is Sodium hydroxide and soap the only chemicals you use?

When I started, I mostly used word of mouth and Facebook. I ran a couple of paid Google ads with no success (probably my fault from lack of knowledge of how all that works). I haven't done any paid advertising since summer of 20. I use other chemicals as needed, just depends on the job I'm doing. For degreasing jobs, yes, I only use sod hyd and soap. Trying to get started doing dumpster pads but need a ball park figure on how much to charge on a monthly basis

I hate to get into pricing because no matter what your price is, the "know it all's" will attack. However, a good rule of thumb is to be at $100/hr or more. I don't necessarily have a set price for dumpster pads. It depends on how far away they are, how dirty they are, how much grease is on the ground, trash on the ground, heavy items that need to hauled away, etc. Depending on your area, customer, etc, you could generally expect anywhere from $100-300 per pad. Sometimes alot more if they are extremely dirty.

Degreaser? I use sodium Hydroxide beads and dish soap.

Thanks for posting this video because I’m actually thinking about getting into cleaning dumpster pads because pressure washing homes is not going too well they’re not trying to pay my prices so how do you go by getting jobs for dumpster pads do you send emails or do you go to the physical site and sell your services face to face

What do you do for water reclamation? I'm in the northwest and it seems to be taken pretty seriously here. I'm trying to do things right, but it's looking to be too expensive for me to even join the game.

How are you mixing and applying your sodium hydroxide?

I use a mixing tool on my drill. 5 gallons of hot water, ~5 cups of s.hydrox.

@@joshuahilinski4147 I don't usually charge by the square ft. I charge by how difficult the job is, if I have to do the job at night/day and how far away it is. I also take into consideration how often they want it done.
