Any rust?

@@paperandmedals8316 Yes, a few places surface rust, but nothing terrible. The bottom is almost in perfect condition, it is no problem to lift it with a jack. Only the trunk of the car is the worst, because the first owner had an accident where trunk was broken down and the official Opel service repaired it badly, they forgot to put silicone on the joints like the tail light and water flowed into the trunk. But overall good condition, suitable for a veteran...

It's 525TDS, 535TDS doesn't exist

Here in Europe (I'm in the UK) there's a heck of a lot of diesel cars on the road. They're a lot more efficient and longer lasting, especially for longer journies. I'm not too sure why USA doesn't have more considering you guys drive for miles, and miles, and MILES.

@@DarrenBoss1984 That's good question. I daily drive my slightly tuned 3.0TDI A6 and I mostly use it in city. Runs perfect, it's quite fast and consumps 10L/100km. I have no idea how much is it in MPG but I assume it's very good in comparison to some 6L Chevy trucks they use in US.

I see an image of a W plate one on Instagram I looked up the MOT history and sure enough it was registered 1st March 2000 😁 it must have been hiding somewhere.

@@Cavalier_Steve glad others have seen it I think it’s from the Stoke area as that’s where I saw it just looked it up and I’ve found it the owner is lucky to have the very last Cavalier registered must be worth more than other Cavaliers

it was probably junked due tu undercarriage rust, therefore not passing local tuv

sadly, if these cars stayed here for years, I think they will stay here....

I would assume they get recycled or parted out

I think some of these cars are at other peoples’ properties. The powertrains are strong, but as we all can see there is so much rust. I live in a desert. Our cars don’t rust. They last forever. I wonder if there’s any Lada’s in Estonia for them to get started. I like those cars. Especially when their owners put some money into them and add a turbo and some rims.

here in estonia some of these are still in everyday use as well

@@KasparOnTube Not really, due to the scrapage scam most old cars ended up traded in for new ones and then crushed. Even those not trading them in were selling old cars for scrap due to scrap prices being high at the time. I saved an old e30 from being scrapped before they became popular. When I bought it people called it junk and made fun of me for buying it, the same people today want to buy it from me. You save any old car long enough it will become collectable.

I still see some of these cars today in my country

I had many vauxhalls but the opel are better finished and have better spec.

Vauxhall's are rebaged Opel's , therefore they are the same car.

Nunca teve Opel por aqui, os modelos eram vendidos sob a marca Chevrolet, que é da multinacional General Motors. A Opel pertenceu a GM até 2017. Não é difícil de ver, tem muitos ainda rodando.
