Never sell anything based on price. If you know your product, service and skill are the best it will show in both your presentation and work. I consistently win jobs over low bidders and I get tips also. I have all five star reviews and lots of great comments on those reviews. My last customer had four other bids before me so when I gave him my price he goes “Well you better do better than that because I’ve had four other people and their price is cheaper than yours.” So you’re absolutely correct on the proper way to handle that objection. In this instance I kinda chuckled and went to my truck to grab a card. When I got back I told him “Sir, I want to let you know that I am not in the habit of underbidding my competition, and I’m not going to start now just to win a job. I offer a premium service to ensure you will be getting the job done how you wanted, and if you looked at my website and reviews then you should know that you will be getting a better job than what you asked for. So yes my price tends to be more than other people’s, and for good reason, but I was already going to give you a discount as I’m currently running a fundraiser campaign for COVID-19.” So I told him my price, which was still a bit higher than a couple of the others and about on par with the rest. In the end he hired me, and he was so happy with job that before I was done he asked me to come out to give him a price for doing a house wash, asked for a stack of cards, and was more than happy to have a sign in his front lawn. His wife also gave me a $20 tip.

Very good info, dude! I've just started and I've only had jobs in my neighborhood, where I charge way less. I'm only doing that to help my neighborhood and get my name out there. I live in South Carolina where algae and mold is everywhere and I can pressure wash pretty much all year round. Videos like this are like gold to us newbies, who might not be able to articulate to the customer exactly why were more expensive than the guy working for beer money. This video is older but I still would like to commend you on patience and sticking to your guns. You were reasonable but firm and quite possibly saved her from expensive repairs. I run a mobile service and have gotten the same customers.

I always tell people, in sales, everything thing that comes out of a potential clients mouth should be looked at as information alone. How you can turn it around or reiterate value. Treat it like you are a computer. Take the info in, and reply with the best option. Plus I use texts for service/price reciepts. Before I leave for a job, I text “hey ______, just wanted you to know that I’m heading your way to clean as discussed earlier. (List services and total price, highlight added value) I should be there in about ______minutes.” Wait for reply of confirmation, and then head over. I actually have about 30 text message scripts that I plug where needed. It hasn’t failed yet. The scripts are important because I’m never taking to long to decide what is appropriate to say. I already vetted my scripts to be valid receipts.

Why do you downstream when your setup to be able to Softwash a house? I’m no professional like you and was saving up to build Softwash build instead of only a pressure washer mostly due to how easy trouble shooting and no wear and tear on high pressure hoses and quick connections. Just mainly changing out the pump whenever needed. Appreciate the reply

You prefer downstreaming out of the 15 gal as opposed to your 55 gal? I'm assuming it's because in your 55 you don't have surfactant as it's your storage tank for your Proportioner. Why not use a dual barb Injector and tap into your soap tank with another 1/4" line and fit a 1/4" metering valve? It works really well

are you using flexzilla 3/8 air hose for softwash hose? i thought about using it becuse i love it on my air compressor. but curious how it is for softwash. and if it would even work.

If you could recommend a transfer pump to me now would it still be the same old everflow off Amazon or have you tried the “ bleach pump “ from everflow. They both say Viton seal. But bleach pump says it can be maintained?

She was playing you dude. Sometimes wealthy people do that just for sport. I doubt she ever had anybody quoting her $500 less, and she took those few hours to call you back so that she could save face, and not make it so obvious what game she was playing.
