One small correction is that discord is like subsistence sure, but it regenerates the ammo from thin air, not reserves. This means that, in an environment where you’re able to get kills with your other weapon, you have a special fusion that you can use as a primary for 7 seconds. The perk also has no downtime so as long as you get another kill with your other weapon, you can instantly refresh it.

High impact reserves does make adaptives kill any resilience level with either a charge time masterwork or accelerated coils (not both) in 5 bolts, it’s an S tier perk for PvP on any Fusion but especially on these.

I love the Eliksni designs of all these IB weapons but I hope that Bungie adds Cabal-esque weapons soon with Saladin becoming more acclimated to Caiatl’s council. I think they could make some really creative weapons like a legendary Heir Apparent slug thrower or a War Beast themed IB glaive

Idk how often you read comments on your old videos, but I had to come to this one and say this. I need to thank you. I don't know if I commented this before, but I have to say it. I just played a few games of Iron Banner and I have to say, I was impressed with my gameplay. I ended up using this fusion rifle. I got a drop that matched a roll you mentioned (moving target/high impact reserves), and I got my first 3 stack before being downed. That may not be a big deal, but it's the first time I was able to pull off 3 kills effectively. I only could have gotten better in part to a new friend I made, and a major part to you. Your weapon guides and roll suggestions helped me find perks that actually help my gameplay. Also, you've really encouraged me to keep playing jn the crucible. I honestly wouldn't even touch the crucible if it wasn't for your words of encouragement and helpful tips. You're a big inspiration. You've helped me improve and I can't be more grateful. I say all that to say this, tho. 1 v 1 me, bro.

I picked up that first role they gave you and dominated some crucible matches. Firmly planted isnt ideal for how i play but eye of the storm put in work. It was doin on par with my perpeturap motion burden of guilt. Cant wait to get my ideal pvp and pve rolls

Got a roll with liquid coils, discord, rangefinder, with a range masterwork and it's so incredibly consistent. I've been wanting to like Wizened Rebuke cause I've got another great roll, but it feels like it whiffs shots. I also have been falling in love with my Cantata because of Suros synergy and this fusion pairs very well on mid range maps

I’ve seen this role in multiple creators videos but it’s not what was on Saladins reward track for me. Claimed it as moving target/vorpal with a stability MW. Added targeting adjuster and left the recoil at 55. I love it. I think the barrel keeps the bolts tighter for some reason.

For pvp, Discord and Hatchling hands down. Strand with evolution. Get a kill with your secondary, proc discord, push with Pp and get a kill with no cost to ammo, dropping threadlings which after a seconds wait will put pressure on the next guy in line, distracting him while you charge in and line up another kill with Pp. Get that kill before the threadlings hit and now you have enough threadlings to kill anyody else trying to give backup, they can run from the threadlings and pretty much guarantee death by Pp, or focus you for the revenge cleanup and die to threadlings. Its a steamroller

Idk if you’ll see this but you should revisit riptide, once you get under pressure, it turns the weapon into a good fusion. I racked up over 500 kills with it while out charging other fusions(which is the strong trait of the gun).

random thought with this being strand but one day we should be able to equip any primary/special weapon in either of your weapon slots. so if you wanted to run a full strand build, you could have a strand primary and special. with match game gone and elements moving in a direction of buildcrafting over meaningless shield removal, this could be great for buildcrafting.

Definitely don't sleep on Discord, guys. It's an S-tier perk for both PvE and PvP, specifically 6v6 PvP. The accuracy increase is very, *very* noticeable, and the ammo refund on kills allows you to go on absolute tears. 7 seconds of infinitely refundable ammo and juiced accuracy, with the only caveat being that you need to secure a kill with your energy or heavy weapon first. In 3v3, it's not quite as good since you're less likely to be get multi-kills with the perk up, but the accuracy could still be nice.

Did you get a roll with discord to try it? I know it’s a new perk. I keep seeing that it’s pretty good on the fusion in pvp. I guess it’s gonna depend on how much the accuracy bump is when it’s active and the free ammo is always good in pvp. I kept a high impact reserved/discord roll but I haven’t played with it much. Loving perpetual motion/high impact though

Idk why but I got a really decent roll with discord, HIR and I just don't like the feel of it whatsoever. I thought it was just placebo or a skill issue because it felt so off compared to other fusions. But as soon as I went back to my RF Main ingredient and RF Epicurean they felt 1000x better and way more consistent. It's cool that it's strand but I would just rather use a sidearm or shotty personally.

It will help some stability and accuracy, but no range falloff. At that point side by side, to me at least, high impact etc look a lot better.

Actually, Discord is pretty amazing on this weapon in PvE, it doesn't pull the ammo from reserves, it just straight up -generates more-. Kill with partner primary, and fusion BECOMES the primary for a few seconds, AND the buff doesn't have a cooldown. Love your analysis, but you missed the mark on this one. This thing has the ability to sit in a unique space.

If you’re looking for a stasis special try grabbing a riptide with chill clip, that thing rarely leaves my kinetic slot. Mine has compulsive reloader which is great but auto-loading would be good too

I think Discord/High Impact will enable a lot of streaks - the only problem is getting that first primary kill. Discord will also probably slot into some double-special PvE builds pretty well.

Adaptive fusions are the only archetype I can't get to work. Not as much range as precisions, not as fast as rapid-fires. Any time I pull one out I just think I'd rather have any other archetype in that moment. I don't know what you can even do to give them a niche other than nerfing precisions more and I definitely don't want that.

That's interesting to hear cuz for me adaptoves are the only ones i can get to work most of the time. Is interesting how different it can be depending on the person
