Another problem is the two party system limits choices and people with more extreme views on the right and left are grouped with the people with less extreme views and more choices would get rid of some of the tension and make it to were people aren’t just choosing the lesser of two evils.

I think it’s also super important that acknowledge it’s okay to pick a side because you generally agree with their policy and politics, and that it’s okay to identify issues within that group. I think a big part of why the political spectrum has become so divided/closed to communication is because it’s not acceptable to criticise your own party so the default is to criticise the other. SPOILER, it’s probably beneficial to have healthy debate WITHIN a party/political group

There is no reason we can't respect each other's opinions. If we truly believe what we claim hearing others beliefs doesn't threaten that. I completely agree most of us no matter what 'side' agree on much more then we disagree about. It's ok to not agree with every detail, that's one of the freedoms we have as Americans.

i can respect certain political decision, but when it comes to human rights, there is no middle ground. i cant respect someone who will support racism, islamophobic, homophobic, sexism, or any other form of discrimination. there is a big difference between politics and human rights, if you wanna disagree with me on taxes, go ahead i dont care much, if you want to disagree with me on the fact that women (or any other group) should have their rights taken away, that is not at allokay with me and i dont want you in my life

He is trying to do that. But you see lots and lots of republicans in congress are saying that’s too much so Biden probably won’t get to do 2,000. Probably 1,600 or little less. They have to find a compromise because republicans are picky and don’t want him to do it, so give it time. You will get money soon. He has said that he doesn’t want to hold back the money just to get the exact amount of money he wants to spend because he does care about the American people. He cares about getting people money soon. He knows people are struggling and doesn’t want to hold it back longer just to give them a few hundred more. He wants to give it now.

They don’t want to spend that much so they are making this conversation go on longer and longer. Biden said he doesn’t want to hold back giving the money any longer. He said he doesn’t want to wait even longer because he knows the republicans won’t let them do 2,000 soon. He knows it could take months to convince them to let him do 2,000 all at once. He wants to give it out as soon as possible because he cares about people and knows people need the money NOW! Why can’t you see that!
