Man, I feel old saying this but following pretty lights in my late teens early 20s was such a cool way to experience that time of life. Some of those moments encapsulated my youth so much and the possibility of life. Listening to PL always brings me back

listening since 2008. got a free ticket from the man himself for his OG set at the House of Blues in New Orleans. Felt like I was watching my kid when he was featured on Conan O'Brien in 2013 haha

My beautiful daughter turned me onto PL, bought me a collection for Mothers day about 5 years or so ago....I listen often getting sunshine by the pool or in my bed...have always loved the vibe...we'll be at a show whenever it happens...

@@gregsalisbury4967 Lou Reed, Perry Farrell, Robert Downey Jr., Eric Clapton, Ozzy, Elton, Ray Fucking Charles all used heroin and although their best original media works published may have been whilst they were in their cups and spoons they all performed and indeed perform much better sober. To me Perry’s the most surprising of all ‘cause I gave the dude like 10 months in 1991 but like Billy Corgan said fairly recently in their dual interview with Howard Stern ‘that’s why there’s only one Perry Farrell’

I love Derek till the end of time, but I don’t think that’s the right fit. Deadmau5, or, more eccentrically, Xcision would be better suited to crafting the soundtrack to a digital world that has been pulled over our eyes.

It is sometimes often difficult to make up a changing mind when pertinent details and information relating to your making up your mind is non-existent and one lives in a world of possibilities that exist instead of the truth? Am I still married? Is my wife dead? Is she a very bad person? Did she make a mistake and want forgiveness because that is easy for me to do depending on the situation. Without knowing the actual truth it is obviously harder to make up your mind. My mind is made made up based on what little I know and so I Rest In Peace tonight when my bed calls my name, so to speak, as I speak, as we speak on speakerphone. Dead ass, as Mayhem would say. Now I get it…. I think

he had some drug problems and hasn't dropped a project since color map of the sun. I believe he's clean now but absolutely no word on when his next project will come but if you just found him recently go check out of his live studio sessions. Should keep you busy for a minute :)

About 6 months ago he showed up on screen at a Manic Focus show in Myrtle Beach. Their encode was a pretty lights song. Then you realize they aren't doing anything. The person on the screen in a Coldplay bear suit takes off his mask and its Derek Smith.... They were testing new technology and he "phined" the last song in from his studio thru the bands set up..... he had a beard and all. He is coming back. He said as much but still no word on when
