Wow, as a diamond lover, this is a collection I could only dream about but I'd be terrified of wearing it! Superb that it has all remained together. Wonderful to see Art Deco pieces still out there. It deserves to be worn.

Those pieces are things you'd keep in a safety deposit box at the bank - I'd be terrified to keep those at home knowing the true values. I couldn't afford the insurance premiums on those things so into the deposit box away from thieves, fires and other accidents. I'd probably put those up for auction - I'd sweating even leaving the Roadshow parking lot LOL

MY FIREND ATTENDED A CHURCH FAIR A FEW YEARS AGO, BOUGHT A GRAB BAG FOR $1.00. IT WAS FILLED WITH JEWELLRY, MOSTLY COSTUME AND (1) DIAMOND CLUSTER RING.THE RING IS REAL, LOTS OF DIAMONDS. THE RING IS SO GORGEOUS! WHITE GOLD AND OLD MINE DIAMONDS.

That's just it. I think those items are better suited for a museum or someone's curated private collection. The regular person simply cannot use them - wear those in public now, you'll get robbed within 5 minutes. And they're so out of fashion - even at really formal events, no one wears jewellery that exquisite anymore. To the auction house I go lol

Which is deliberate. Appraisers will always give a conservative figure because market demands on certain items change over time (at the end of the video you can see their value went up so the market is pretty hot for art deco jewellery). Not to mention, they can't predict any bidding wars at auction - all it takes is two people to really compete and drive up the price.

Again they are all undervalued! The natural pearl strand itself should costs hundreds of thousands of dollars coz natural pearls are rarer than D flawless Golconda quality diamonds.

I found a matching necklace and earring set at a second hand store and I haven’t taken them in anyway yet I’m afraid to they definitely look like an Edwardian set just how they are put together from the rest of the Art Deco but the set has clear and light blue stones and the bottom of the necklace looks like a upside down fan not an electric fan but the fans women used to cool themselves off

@Bobby Nicole. It's very hard to sell anything these days, people are so strapped for money now in late August of 2020. I'd be very afraid to wear the bracelet and the ring. As a woman, I love them all except the broach. The ring I'd wear all the time!!

These are the type of scenes where you know the owner was a plant. He knows what he has, and he barely reacts to the estimates. He was probably asked to bring his items down to make the show interesting. The first few seasons were fun. After that, it turned into a museum tour, because there is no way random people just happened to show-up with pieces like this.
