The Road is a superb adaptation and graphically a beautiful book. You should see it in the European format size. Hope you get it there also.

I can't imagine sitting down and reading a blacksad comic from start to finish

If you've ever read a generic potboiler, that's about it. But with sexy animal lady femme fatales. And Aryan polar bears... you know, the usual. I did meet that guy at a comic show last year. Nice guy!

I've been waiting all year for that J. Webster Sharp book from Avery Hill! I'll probably order direct from them when it comes up for preorder.
@loadingthecanon19199 күн бұрын
I bet it's going to be a beauty.

I'm glad I'm not doing pre-orders this year because you mentioned about ten books I want to buy.🤑

Floating World got the solicit for Vendetta: Holy Vindicator all messed up... it's not a one-shot, it's issue #5 (continuing on from issue #4, 30 years ago!) - everything by STEVE McArdle (there is no Sean McArdle) lol -- great video!

Thanks for clearing that up, it was pretty confusing. And thanks for watching!

Magnetic really produces beautiful books. I've really only bought one scifi cartoonist and a few toppi books but they are all so beautiful

You're the guy I think of when I see their books. I remember you talking about the sci-fi guy. Eventually I'll stumble across some in a used bookstore and try some different stuff out. I love those rounded corners they do.

52:26 I would suggest to consider the last volumen of Tokyo These Days by Taiyo Matsumoto. (PS: Thank you for this monthly flip-trough. It helps a lot.)
@loadingthecanon19199 күн бұрын
Ah, thanks for pointing that out. I usually mention Matsumoto when I see books by him. And thanks for watching!

Also a new Henry & Glenn comic coming out from Microcosm Publishing.

I love Tom Neely, but I'm not a punk guy and I've resisted the Henry & Glenn stuff so far.

Yellow by Jay Martin was something I preordered, I read his previous GN, not bad.
@loadingthecanon19196 күн бұрын
Nice. I'll keep an eye for it to look at in a store. Was the other book Lost Boy? I've never heard of it before.

This is THE Rick Parker you think it is. I checked it out.

Thanks for confirming. Pretty interesting! That's another one I'll check out in person.

Ultra Heaven 1 by Last Gasp looks cool.

It does. I have a book by the same person, also published by Last Gasp, but I haven't read it.

It’s a shame that Final Cut is 6X9. I’m glad I bought the French albums as they were released. Editions Cornelius makes some beautiful books.

It seems like an odd choice, right? It's not like Burns is an unproven author.
