In January of 2022, I pitched to DeSeipel the idea of starting his streams with a recap of his last stream, to satirize the way that episodic television often starts with a recap to remind viewers what happened in the last episode and to catch new viewers up.
The "joke" here is that, while all of the content in the recap comes from the Video On Demand (VOD) of the previous stream, there is no continuity to keep in mind. The recap actually tells the viewer nothing and viewing it will almost certainly create more confusion than seeing the stream with no prior knowledge.
The "Previously on DeSeipel" recaps started with a :45 duration which grew to 1:00 within a few months. Later, the runtime expanded to 1:02 when I added a "signature" graphic to credit my work. Each recap has a "Curated" date stamp to identify the stream being recapped.
