The Japanese STB-1 in War Thunder is already one of my favourite tanks after only 5 games! It's super nice to play, just about everything I'd like in an MBT!
The STB-1 in War Thunder is a Japanese Medium Tank with a fully stabilised cannon that has 300mm of penetration and a laser range finder. Today, I tried to spade some modules thinking I'd run into some issues... but I didn't!
Overall, the STB-1 was amazing to play and I can't wait to take it out some more! Fantastic machine!

The STB-1 got it’s HEATFS shell removed, then uptiered and it’s still good (funni HESH goes bonk)

@@rain-er6537 yep, it was 7.7 for years. To be fair, it did have a longer reload but that didn’t justify its br. Now since Gaijin has rightfully changed its br to 8.0 a lot of people were crying about how it was unwarranted even though it was probably the most overpowered tank at 7.7 for years.

I always take the time to lower the hull with the hydropneumatic suspension whenever I spawn. Being lower = can hide behind lower objects, so it's easier to get behind cover. Doing it on the fly, while you need to be static, can be dangerous. Doing right at the spawn is the best solution. Behind cover, you can always raise your hull to peek, or to give you some depression...

Counterpoint, going to max height gives you better cross-country mobility to get to that cover.

@@TheGunBub yes, the hull can move forward and backward like an strv 103, but it can also move left, right up and down. When facing forward it goes from -6 deg depression to -12 :)

This is my all time favorite vehicle! Thanks for the video on it! It is basically a Leopard 1 hit by the Japanising beam. Kitted out like hell... It can do everything! Squatting, teabagging, ducking down behind cover, peeking out from a window(of opportunity), shooting from places where other tanks can't and many more other fun stuff.

Loved this tank so much, it's a good think that its in 8.0 as it should be, HEAT-FS don't matter if APDS exist too

Unless things have changed a lot in warthunder since I last played this statement is not true at all. APDS used to be really bad and it wasn't a very good tank until you got the heat round.

OddBawZ, this is something I learned recently and I haven't heard you say before. Turning off your tank's engine has a chance to put out the fire, just in case you don't have FPE

But they would lose money, thats why they dont do it. Everyone agrees that playing without parts and fpe is frustrating but thats the point. Frustration makes them money because people use GE to research those modules.

had one of these spawncamp non-stop, and it was annoying as all hell. so i spawned in my STRV 103-0 and had a sniper duel with him. he torched me twice, but then i started angling the armor on the thing properly and once i had repaired the tank and stopped burning, i quickly tapped R to rangefind the bastard and put a HESH shell through his turret and roof, making him go BIG BOOM. he called me a hacker, because apparently the STRV 103-0 is not supposed to have a Laser Rangefinder. welp, not my problem OR fault that Gaijin added it to the tank lol.

Repair squad mates, help capture points (as you are not frontline fighter, wait for team mates to do the cleaning), mark enemy position with MG fire and met team kill them...

When Phlydaily got himself a new logo years ago, the ingame decal changed to his new style. Now you tell at the end of this video you wuill get a new ingame decal. Will it change the old one to the new design like it happened with Phly's or will it be possible to have both on your tank side by side?
