@@marymc4044 Because you shouldn’t have only ONE adaptation. Do you know how many versions of Romeo and Juliet there are? The one done in the 1960s is objectively the best like the 1995 P and P is due to the similarity to the book. You don’t see the fans tearing other versions down.They embrace them all. People should be free to adapt what they want and like whichever version. If you like the 1995 version so much then go to that side of KZfaq and let others love this one in peace. All you 1995 purists irritate me with your condescension.

I cannot agree. While I do admit that on location shooting is better, it is not always convenient nor as grand looking a CGI. Gatsby is an entirely different film with a vey different atmosphere and setting, meant to represent the grandiose of the roaring 20's. Whilst P&P is a period drama set in the early 1800's, where nearly everything is retrained. I have no doubt that, had thus film been made today, it too would have used the advantages of modern effects to better represent its environment.

Still nothing compared to the BBC 1995 edition. Watch that and see for yourself.

@@IshaHaHa-fw2df everyone has different preferences. A lot of people watch both versions and read the book, and still this movie is their favorite version. And I'm one of them. So, accept the fact.

I love the movie, but there are three things, I'd say, are wrong: It was quite obviously all filmed in August, even scenes that are supposed to be in April, like the first proposal. In April in Hertfordshire the trees wouldn't have nearly as many leaves (if any) and they'd be a much lighter green. The second thing that irks me is the scene right after she meets Darcy in Pemberly: She seems to walk to the village right after. What happend to her aunt and uncle? Did she not speak to them before walking back? Had they left early? Why would she linger longer at Pemberly than them? Does she leave before they did? Then why are they already eating when she arrives at the Rose and Crown? It doesn't make sense. The third is Lady Cathrine calling late at night. She'd never do that. I guess they changed that to make it more dramatic, but even if she'd stoop so low I don't see when Darcy would have had time to hear about her meeting Elizabeth. In the short hours between late night and dawn the next day? Who would have been able to tell him? Did he get a WhatsAppMessage from Miss DeBourgh? I don't mind them changing things from the book. I really liked how the put a couple of things from the letter into their actual conversation at the proposal scene. I don't miss the people they left out (Bingly's other sister and her husband, Charlotte's sister Maria, the Gardiner's children, Mrs Bennet's sister Philips). Or conversations taking place at different places. I think it was brilliant to move the first proposal from the parsonage to the park in the rain. But I don't get why they botched the things I mentioned above.

I'm not joking, I really wanna know, cause I'm from a South America country and we don't have to much differences between season, besides a little bit more rain and a hotter temperature, so I coundn't say the difference even if I want to. Is probably easier for people from the north hemisphere to say. 2) In this part I do have an answer. Lol. Apparently her aunt and uncle leave the house when she stayed behind. That's why she appears and they're already there. 3) The lady stuff, I guess it was just a way to show how inconvenient she can be. Just to made it clear. Lol. But I believe the Darcy part, is that as she is his aunt, she decided to pass by wherever he was and throw in his face that Lizzie said she would never marry him. But instead of making sad, some how, gave him the push he nedeed to close the deal, in other words: He decided to make one last move before back off for good. Very interesting points, thank you for it.

Word, i should say gossip spread as fast a gang green. And she a pompous, rich old lady thats never lost or been told a single thing in her life. So that made her angry. And im sure someone would tell darcy. And Darcy already knew how lady Katherine was.

Miralys E. I think 2) Her aunt/uncle could went in the carriage, so it didn’t surprise they went there before Lizzie, even they were left after her.

@@miralyse.3846 To the naked eye, your comment would seem very accurate in my opinion, but I think I have a few explanations for the problems you see, apart from the already answered in the replies above. I don’t think the relatives-eating-at-the-hotel moment happens right after she gets back, because her aunt at some point asks her why she hadn’t told them she had met Darcy, which indicates they had talked before that moment and after getting back from Pemberley. Also, I agree in the fact that Lady Catherine would never do that, but I think it added greatly to the dramatic effect; and even though it wouldn’t be too likely, she could have stopped by Netherfield and told Darcy about the “insolence of the girl”, which had the contrary effect of what she could have wanted.

Sofea Khan I read that she (the costume designer) made Lizzy wear earth-coloured dresses because she is really connected to nature, and not much into fashion like Caroline for exemple

I always thought it was because the earthy tones connected them to the surrounding nature.

Horribly inaccurate costumes, hair&makeup, dry/American style acting with no warmth. Check the 1995 BBC Edition and be amazed how beautiful that version is.

He is coming soon to take those who have received Him, to deliver us from the wrath and judgment to come as prophesied in Revelation. Consider Jesus then, who is the only true God and Savior, proving it when He chose to die so as to shed His perfect blood as a sacrifice so we could have our sins forgiven, for without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness. I finally was won over and received Jesus into my heart and life and so there is reserved for me and all those who have done such as I, a crown of righteousness and eternal life as His Bride at His side to be in His awesome Kingdom forever. May you realize this world is in the shadows of what is to come and our enemy tries to keep us in this darkness so we do not see Jesus as the true light of the world.
