Very underrated indeed. I was Lucky enough to watch him play for Paris Saint-Germain. And saw the training sessions. He would go to the train station before the training to give money to the homeless people he would meet. And after the training sessions, he would go back to give them all the food that the players didn't eat. Such a great person. I respect this guy.

@@cariocabassa etoo and drogba have retired mo has years ahead of him we don't know how good he will be and what more he will achieve but if we talk just of their primes which salah has already hit , salah has better prime than Etoo and Drogba it really is close because etoo and Drogba are legends, but Salah in 2018 played like the best player in the world in a time messi and ronaldo hadn't yet exited their primes , so in my honest opinion he is already somewhat better but not by much . For weah , I can't say salah is better rn because weah is a ballon dor winner in a time legendary players were active, but weah is so underrated and most people would consequently conclude salah is better

I think it's the same reason Roberto Baggio wasn't necessarily a media fav(for some bizarre reason) Both were fantastic players! .Taking care of Business when Defenders had the liberty to do exactly the same..Unlike now,where the game is heavily favoured for the Attackers!

The country's GDP as grown year after year since he took office and infrastructure development is at an all time high. Let's not get ahead of ourselves here. Weah was a sublime player and by far the best African player ever. But do not try to compare him to Ronaldo. Ronaldo was probably the most talented player in football history and he is on most people top 5 ever even though his prime was cut short by the time he was 22yo. Let that sink in.

I had the privilege of watching him play live at the national stadium in Lagos. Oh boy, you don't have a sense of a players strength, power and technical abilities until we watch them in real time. Unbelievable. This was a match that had international superstars like Bonaventure kalou and nwankwo kanu playing in but weah made every other play look like kids. He was miles ahead and always was a few seconds ahead. Unreal talent.

The goal at 2.22 has to be one of the best I've seen in yrs .I can remember watching this game live on a Sunday afternoon(when I lived in London-Ch4 used to show a Italian game live most Sundays) Now Milano had pretty much won this game&this goal arrived in perhaps the last 10mins?-but it was still a f##king unbelievable effort by a fantastic forward!

Thus, George WEAH was one of gifted, talented and more importantly human player. I still remember while he was playing for Paris St Germain, the goalkeeper called Bernard Lama, a talented goalkeeper, made a mistake and there was goal against their team. When George Weah had put the ball in the nets of the other team, he ran to Bernard Lama and embraced him. He wanted to do his best so Bernard Lama doesn't feel guilty. George Weah is a good man.

aveva tutto...eleganza,tocco di palla,velocità,dribbling,tecnica individuale unite a movenze da pantera africana che ne facevano un giocatore unico...il suo valore fu oscurato dall'arrivo del Fenomeno che mise tutti gli attaccanti dell'epoca in secondo piano, ma Giorgione è stato cmq il mio attaccante preferito di quand'ero ragazzino
