If a Punjab government retired pensioner becomes a foreign citizen , will it affect his pensioner status and will such Pension credit in his NRO account.

TCS of 5% is only applicable, on the amount exceeding 7lacs INR per financial year under LRS per Indian resident remitter . An Indian remitter can transact UpTo 250000 $ and an OCI can UpTo 1 million $ per financial year. There will be no TCS for OCI. Thanks explaining Abt TDS of 20%( selling after three years of purchase n 30% selling before 3years on capital gain calculated as index rate of inflation at that time.

Canadian Banks CRA nu call nahi karde veer. They first monitor and report transactions internally and if required they report it further to FINTRAC. Canadian Banks Monitor every single transaction on all type of accounts.

Firstly, determine your residential status in India as per the regulations of Foreign Exchange Management Act. As per the said Act, when an NRI/OCI comes to India for taking up employment or business or for any purpose which indicates his intention to stay in India for uncertain period, he will be considered as Person resident in India (PRI). Once you become PRI, you have to close you NRO/NRE account and open resident savings account. Also, you can purchase agricultural properties in India
