@@shovon64 soundstage in my opinion quite good but not the best i heard. But it depends on the source also, fh3 not lacks in this department, but it is also not the widest or deepest. Oh10 for example has bigger soundstage but it is not enough to beat fh3 everywhere else. So if only for soudstage i could give 7 or 8 ponts from 10. So its nothing tragical :), fh3 not congested anyhow.

I feel like FiiO is one of the few Chi-fi companies which has really defined tiers in their products, even though it's still messy at times, unlike someone like KZ where their more expensive stuff is too often unnecessary and is not better than their cheaper ones.

All of them are good for rock and metal. Fh3 has the most bass. Nm2+ has the most forward treble. Starsea is very resolving and customizable.

I have both. They are very very close but I prefer the fh3. The imaging and separation is better on the fh3. The ISN are fantastic and I can see why they have they are universally loved

I will have H40, FH3, and Tape Pro soon, to compare against my L3, VK4. From what people say, H40 has better tonality than FH3, but FH3 is better in every other way(esp fit/size/shape).

Yeah mate. XENNS Mangird Tea 2. It's a step up in price but is a fantastic IEM and a good upgrade from the FH3.

@@PrimeAudioReviews Yes the Urbanfun is really great. It is actually more musical than the FH3. To get the best sound on the Urbanfun, I do use KZ foam tip since they have a large bore. With the Large Bore I can get a really full treble and full bass sound. Also the Urbanfun is half the price

Unfortunately there aren't many cables with microphone available. FiiO has their own RC-MMCX3S though. Another option would be to use a Bluetooth receiver like the FiiO BTR3K.

@@PrimeAudioReviews I agree. The FH3 feels better tuned and more mature overall. I had the Shuoer Tape for a while and returned it when I leaned about the Tape Pro being just around the corner. I'm gonna wait and see how that performs.

@@jojogpt I recently bought the Tape Pros based on the initial reviews which were very positive. I like them a lot but it's also my first entry audiophile iem so I don't have much to compare to. That said the pros definitely shine with certain types of music more than others. I notice the high mids tend to get flat sounding but that might be about the recording/mixing with some tracks. Guitars and rock vocals fall in that frequency range and it's a bit annoying that there's not more clarity and shine. Jazz and classical sounds very good to me. I'm actually going to send the pros back and get the fh3s after seeing a number of reviews.

@@honuman39 That's a good decision. I use my Tape Pro only for classical and acoustic female performances. It isn't a very good all round performer. The original Tape is a better IEM than the pro. I am quite happy with my FH3. You could also consider the ThieAudio Legacy 5. I love that set too.

The kbo4 is more balanced, a little brighter and cleaner. It doesn't have the bass extension of the ks2 but is more resolving.

I could answer also as i have them both, tfz has more bass but less in subbass than fh3, but it is not so good controlled and textured. Fh3 are better in bass department, better controlled and higher quality

I think the OS V3 can play on the same level sound-wise (from memory - I'm not at home right now) but the FH3 is a definite step up in build quality. The lacquer coating has started to come off my OS V3 but that may be due to neglect (sadly I rarely have time to listen to them).

It really depends what you like. For me the FH3 is better because of its bass extension and full-bodied midrange. Aria is excellent but has a different sound signature.

Absolutely. Personally, I would go with a BTR5/BTR3K for portability and wireless but the Q3 and Hip-Dac are great options too.

It kinda depends on which phone you have to a degree. The dk2001 is awesome but discontinued although it's still available in some places. I'm waiting to see the updated version hopefully soon this year.

Both! Just kidding. I'd say FH3 for bass presence. The FH7 has excellent bass definition but as a result, the treble is more forward. If you don't mind a forward, detailed treble go FH7 but if you want something with more bass emphasis and non-fatiguing then get FH3.

It's not really an upgrade in technical terms but FH3 suits my personal preference more. Aria has a bigger soundstage and more spacious sound. FH3 has a fuller, more forward midrange and better bass impact.

Yes, FH3 is a good all-rounder and I've used them quite a bit for fps games.

From what you say, I think the FH3 would be perfect for you. It has a little extra funk in the trunk and an even smoother treble than IT00.

I don't have the F9 Pro but I remember people saying it was a brighter iem. All I can suggest is you check multiple reviews of both and make a decision based off those.

The Starfield would be the safest bet for a brighter source.

I think it's still one of the best options in that price range. There's also IKKO OH10 and TRI Starsea.

I would still say the FH3 but you might want to consider the BQEYZ Spring 2 which has a dope slamming bass. I don't really like the treble timbre but the bass is awesome.

They're both about equal in resolution. Spring 2 has better details due to its more forward treble.

Fh3 is way more upfront and lively. SE215 is nice but sounds compressed and subdued in comparison.

Try the IKKO OH1.

Both have good bass extension but the OH10 has more bass quantity so I think that is the best one for basshead. I'm afraid I haven't tried xba z5 so I can't compare it.

I use with fh3 spiral dots and these really better than stock tips so you could try these . As spiral dots have one of the widest openings so they make treble even more extended and bass more controlled and less boomy. Better than spinfits.

Most of the tips I use are generic ones that came bundled with various IEMs but I prefer shallower/donut types with a wide bore.

@@AbalMarius Got Spiral dots as you recommended, and you're right. The sound is much better now. Though ML size is a bit uncomfortable after awhile

@@mascisken yeah i also have ml size and a little bit uncomfortable as it is a little too big but for my ear canals it's hard to get right size. But for fh3 sound really better with spiral dots so haven't found better tips for sound. I also will try azla sedna tips when i get them. They also wide bore as spirals. So these wide bore type fits fh3 the best.

@@AbalMarius Lol, should have mentioned I got the xelastec tips as well. ML size as well. Soundstage doesn't feel as spacious as the Spiral dots. The bass isn't as prominent too. But vocals feel more forward. Just so you know, xelastec sticks to your ear. I think ML might be a bit too big as well as the stickiness makes them a bit hard to take off.

Yes, unless you are treble-sensitive or want really good noise isolation. OH10 is smoother in the highs and FH3 has more treble energy.

Legato if you want big bass and a smooth sound. FH3 if you want more dynamic sound with energetic treble.

It usually depends more on tuning and tonality. Brighter sounding IEMs (I.e. More treble) with light bass tend to have more micro details. But other factors can affect it too, such as overall resolution, peaks in the frequency response etc.

I suspect its the quality of the recording that has an inherent noise to it. Rolling in the deep sounds flawless. No sibilance or hiss artefact.

I'm out at the moment so can't check but you're probably right about the recording. Although the fh3 has a warm sound it is also resolving and reveals things like that.

Using the same DAC, listening flac and DSD (not on streaming). I know what you say, i'm convinced it depends from the recording, not from the source or the iem.

I haven't heard EPH100 so it's hard to rec something. FH3 is warmer with enhanced bass and NM2+ is closer to neutral with a more linear signature (although it also has punchy bass and forward treble).

My custom L3 has a wider and airier soundstage. But keep in mind I have the CIEM so the sound may differ slightly from the universal model.

FH3 all day. I am not a fan of the BQEYZ ear-stabbing piezo treble.

I think the fh3 is still good if you're not sensitive to high frequencies a bit. I have Starfield 2 but still haven't opened the box believe it or not. Definitely consider the Kefine Klanar and kiwi ears melody too. Oh and kinera Celest Phoenixcall.

These are more fun than the S8F. Better bass extension + weight and a slightly more full-bodied sound. Also more forgiving in the upper mids/lower treble than the S8F which is brighter sounding.

No just actually you should be concerned. Initially the FH3 sold out. I mean completely there weren't any. so quick that they had problems and with the holiday season coming up you want to be careful when you buy them. And the L3 has issues also. If you check other reviewers they talk about depending on what model you got.Fully ciem were fine. but the gears, mystique and the white like David reviewed and blue body w/dark blue top were factory ready and had problems. I understand that Dave's he said his were custom-made but they have a white factory ready-made one like his. So they had four factory ready-made models of the L3 and they were the ones that had occasional issues. and it looks like both of these are going to be used during the 11:11 specials and obviously States United States Christmas holiday shopping season. I know cuz I want both of these it's so funny you want them but I think I'm going to go with the FH3 if I can get a good price and order it early while it's store stock has been laying around for a week or two at least. PS -similar thing with the urban fun that looks like the Blon BL03. They started switching titanium drivers for instead of beryllium

You could probably use it for stage use but the noise isolation isn't great. Something like the ThieAudio Legacy 3 or TRI Starsea will shut out more external noise.

FH3 treble quality is better (more even and timbre) but not really any more in quantity than the IT00. I'd suggest you take a look at the FH9 Pro.

You mean they don't have overly elevated upper mids and treble like most chifi? Oh the horror. That's why I like them. I know this is subjective we've and different for everybody. I'm just ribbing you because of how you stated your comment.

I'd rec the Hiby FC3 or if you want a balanced output the Hidizs S9 Pro.
