Bass is really tight, decays in time without bleeding into mids. Treble is also good and detailed, no siblance for me. I liked clear tips with red center for best clarity in highs, vocal without siblance with pretty good isolation. Foam tips are best for bass but reduces a little but treble(if you are treble sensitive foam tips are best), isolation is best in foam tips. Never need to get over 30 percent volume with good music source, even with phone with high bit rate music it is pretty loud. I hate neutral tuning with less or no base in Aria or Er2se so best for me in this budget. Thanks for the review.

Hi there again! Your reviews are awesome! Ok, so I’ve narrowed my choices down to 3: the BGVP DMG, the Etymotic ER2XR and the Fiio FH3. I watched your reviews on all 3 products and you all gave them 5 stars. If you were to pick among the three based on over-all quality, which would it be and why? Again, thank you so much in advance and more power! 👍😊
@SuperReview2 жыл бұрын
ER2XR and FH3 are similar levels, different strengths. ER2 is more neutral tuning, smoother treble, and some people like single-dynamic-driver designs. FH3 has better separation and 3D sense, and stronger bass. Another big difference is that FH3 is more comfortable to fit. DMG I would remove from consideration. I would not give that a 5 star review today.

Thanks for another super review! These look solid. Comparing these to the KZ ZS10 Pro (which I currently own), how would you compare the upper mids/highs in both? Are the FH3s less prone to sibilance? While i've been mostly been happy with the ZS10 Pro, that occasional hot peak in the high end can be jarring. I am looking to upgrade to something similar sounding but maybe with tad more bass impact and a smaller form factor.
@SuperReview3 жыл бұрын
Been a while since I heard the ZS10 Pro, but FH3 should be much better with sibilance and treble is less fatiguing up top. Bass will be tighter on FH3, midrange more even and better detailed, and IMO a much better sense of 3D space.

I don’t like the MH755 as much as some folks. I mean it’s stellar for the price, but I think I’d rather listen to Blons. MH755 also has big bass, but FH3 is much tighter, and midrange resolution on FH3 is IMO massively stronger. Treble on MH755 is a bit blunt and 2D in comparison, FH3 extends better and keeps more natural timbre. FWIW, I did not do head to head comparison, this is based on memory.

Hmmm... I guess all other IEMs, and headphones I've ever used are absolute bass monsters, and i never realized it. Because i don't think there's too much bass. Extra bass, yes. But not too much. I listen to Power Metal 95% of the time, and I absolutely love the sound of these out of the box. No need to change EQs, and the bass is tastefully done. Which is interesting, because if there's one thing i hate, it's too much bass in Metal. Nothing ruins the experience for me more than muddy 16th notes played on a bass drum at 180bpm. These don't do that. I also plug these into my Fiio K3 on my PC, and play games with them, and there amazing at that as well. Hello , I watch Super Review videos and find them quite solid. My Moondrop Blessing 2 Dusk ear set, left ear set partially stopped working, I mean high tones can not be heard, while low and mids are there. So I sent it for repair into China.. While waiting I became curious about headsets with 5 stars in different categories. As I was focusing on comfort with good overall tonality, I was thinking about buying Meze Alba. But I found that Fiio FH3 got 5 stars in Super Review under 150 USD. It costs 99€ in Germany now. I studied this more with other reviewers and although Crinacle gave it only C+ or so, I decided to buy the set. I am using wavelet and Poweramp on the mobile phone. On squidlink I have found the your graph for Fiio FH3 and I created adjustment relative to Crinacle 2023 Adjusted reference FR. Above described corrected Fiio FH3 mids and highs. For lows, I corrected the correction on lows to +2 dB (20 - 300 Hz) as well. Summary - Perfect to my ears. Thank you Super Review!

What I’m trying to figure out is for the price everyone gives them rave reviews.as you scale up to $1000-$1500 flagships, do those blow these away or are we talking about just an incremental improvement to sq, soundstage etc? I just have the tin t3 and they seem very impressive for $70, but I haven’t heard a high end iem yet, was hoping you can shed light on how iems scale up?

They can get better with $$, but not always. I'm listening to a couple of $1,000 IEMs that I think sound kinda trash. But Moondrop S8 IMO sounds better than anything else I've heard cheaper than it. 64 Audio U12t is alllllmost worth its asking price to me.

Hello. I am an owner of the FH3 and I really like the bass. I am planning on buying my second IEM in 1 or 2 months and I need help. I like the sub-bass punch of the FH3 while being very very clean and detailed. Is that possible to find with better vocals and mids? I find vocals and mids thin on the FH3 especially on rock and metal ( even though I mostly listen to EDM at the moment ). Some IEM's that I am considering are the Moondrop Kato, Tanchjim Oxygen, or Hana and Moondrop Variations ( if they are worth the price tag, can't buy Blessing Dusk ). I know there are many others out there but those are some that I can find in HiFiGo and I can't shop from elsewhere.
@SuperReview2 жыл бұрын
I was going to suggest Dusk, but Variations will do as well.
@themonstercrate68402 жыл бұрын
@@SuperReview Thank you for your time. One last thing if you don't mind answering. Considering its price the Variations will be End game for me as i am not willing to pay more for IEM or Headphones in general. Are they a big upgrade from the FH3 in terms of details, vocals, mids etc or is it like a 10% just noticeable difference? Also the FH3 hit like a truck in the sub bass. Do variations even come close or fall behind?
@SuperReview2 жыл бұрын
Not gonna comment much on the detail question, the word is kind of a misnomer for audio description. IMO Variations and Dusk are a big step up in transparency. Bass quantities in sub-bass are similar, but FH3 has fuller mid bass which means in some songs, Variations won't seem nearly as bassy.

How would these be just using a Galaxy smartphone? I love music and I listen to it almost 8 hours a day working. But I'm not super into all the tech side of being an audiophile. I don't want to buy a separate unit just to play music. I find most in ear buds tend to not get loud enough or lack roo much bass, especially wireless ones. So I've been looking for a pair of solid wired in ear that sound great, get really loud, and have decent bass. My budget is 100-300. If you could recommend something that would fantastic, thanks in advance.

For Android, use the WAVELET app in the play store. It's free and has tens of thousands of headphone and iem saved so you just search for your set and boom, it tweaks your EQ sound out of the 3.5mm output jack on your phone. Based on Harman curve, you can further refine it yourself. Fun to mess around with. Google or KZfaq search for the wavelet app and check it out.

Speaking of chvrches and the fh3 just got the FH3 yesterday and there's always a chvrches track or two I love but are rough to listen to at a normal volume (for me) on your usual V tuned iems (V90, Zs10 pro, mh755) but their track Keep You On My Side, the worst track I love the most, came on and it actually just sounded perfect, I was shocked Maybe I just needed a flatter tuned iem but i need that bass! and the bass and overall tuning on the fh3 is amazing to me (was using v90, then zs10 pro before that, 1more triple before that, so it's not surprising i suppose)

@SuperReview3 жыл бұрын
How would you compare FH3 w/ the Triple Driver? I've never heard the 1More, but people have asked me for that comparison.
@jeffrose613 жыл бұрын
@@SuperReview haven't compared much directly to FH3, just enough to know that it was in another league from my previous stuff and was able to peacefully enjoy listening to it instead of wanting to swap back and forth like i usually do when it's budget vs budget league. I wouldn't go out of my way to try it if I were you, I might as well note some stuff about the 1more vs the others for you since i did compare a lot back when I got stuff like the ED16, zs10 pro, mh755, v90; maybe it'll save you some time assuming they still use the same drivers (can't imagine they updated it but mine is silver/grey from january 2018 or holiday 2017) I couldn't even recommend someone spend $30 on it these days. BA's are tuned nicely like a decent harman tuning (if you wear them deep enough, otherwise it's thin and recessed mids with harsh treble) but even an MH755 might be close to it in detail retrieval. Zs10 pro treble is metallic compared to the 1more BAs so that's a win, at least. then the bass quality is half decent but like a slightly worse zs10 pro, no where near the V90 bass quality and tuning. and if you wear it deep enough to get good mids/highs you'll probably constrict the front vent near the nozzle and get smothered in bass. I had to block about 95% of the back vent to bring it down to a zs10 pro level, then you get a good comparison and see it's not great for the price. very small soundstage, I did like the imaging versus zs10 pro... meanwhile v90 is a nice step up from the 1more in every way except the v90 can be a bit hot around 4khz depending on the track.

I have the FH7 and I have just ordered the FH3 following this and other reviews. It seems that the FH3 has better midrange (voices) that I find to sound shallow in the FH7 and highs are a bit rolled off in the FH3, but the FH7 highs sound a bit artificial in tonality to me. Using the green filters and pure silver balanced FiiO cable...
@SuperReview3 жыл бұрын
Curious to hear your comparison when you've got the FH3.
@5napperlicious3 жыл бұрын
Ironically I'm here because I find just the opposite to be true. I found the FH7 to sound sterile and artificial. I liked everything else about the FH7 except the sound. I prefer a more natural sound which supposedly the FH3 has.
@hgpardo3 жыл бұрын
@@5napperlicious Same here. I have received the FH3 and my FH7 (with an expensive FiiO pure silver balanced cable) rests in my drawer. The FH7 sounds too artificial (recessed voices and too much higher frequencies). The FH3 bass is better (especially midbass) and lower mids and voices are more emphasized and "natural" although a bit 'compressed' (not too much detail). Highs are extended enough, although never sibilant (as sometimes happens in the FH7). Perhaps the soundstage of the FH3 is narrower, but for good soundstage open headphones are the best.
