Unknown to Stephen, Valerie lets the Smilodon loose near the train tracks. Unfortunately for one man, he is the next target of the prehistoric Saber-tooth, and the entire event is caught on camera! This Primeval Clip is taken from Primeval: Series 2 - Episode 3 (2008).

One thing I loved about this show is that Cutters praises the animals when he see them. Great character he was.

"Fast, they're elegant. It's a real natural born killer." Cutters reaction and almost awe-struck praise of the creatures was one of the best things about this show. And for ultimately nature's perfect predator, the Smilodont deserves all of it.

I was going to say, these were cats which killed adult bison and camels on a regular basis. Trying to intervene would’ve only resulted in two people ending up dead.

3:02 Back here in the earlier episodes of Season 2 Lucy Brown did an exellent Jennifer Lewis but in the later episodes her role mutated back more and more to the Claudia Brown-- image as she had done before. I assume this was the result of angry viewers who had chpiped Professor Cutter and Claudia Brown together and could not do much with her second impersonation.
