the engine driven air compressor in the back of the mini truck has a hose connected to the air inlet of the compressor pump, in this case a vertical single cylinder unit.. the pump pulls a vacuum on the well through the top of the pump housing through an air chuck connection, the cylinder at the end of the hose is a sight glass so the dude running the vacuum pump and irrigation pump diesel know when to do his thing and get the water pump running before water gets sucked into the vacuum pump. that's a much better way then driving out there with a huge tanker truck full of water and filling the well casing by gravity.
