"What a wonderful group of people this is!!
When Fred and I bought our home over 20 years ago, I didn't know how I would decorate. Since this was our first house together, it took some time for him to understand my vision. Needless to say, MANY changes have happened. First up - which linoleum floors with white Formica countertops... wall to wall carpeting, at that point in my life as long as it was clean, I didn't want to argue about decorating !! I have always loved the colonial country style... and basically that's what our home became those first years together. But this ol house needed its own story. We discovered PRIMITIVES!! As we AGAIN slowly started changing each room for the THIRD time, our little abode was smiling and we were noth smiling! It really felt like HOME, the way our 1899 Cape Cod was meant to be. We didn't have a lot of money to invest in this new decorating adventure, but since we were both retired, we had a lot of time and thankfully Fred was very talented and willing to learn and listen. We began our new primitive chanllenges together. Living here for over 20 years, this house was telling me how it should be and my lucky Fred became my person to make it happen!
Fast forward to today, sure, there are people who don't understand our style, and that's ok. I enjoy everyone's own personal taste. We have to live and love our own space! Isn't that really what it's all about?"
