I very much prefer to showcase skills over products. I'm not going to knock product and gear reviews, there's a lot of people that enjoy them and they have their place. I don't like using a ton of gear as it is, so stuff like this is where I thrive. Glad you enjoyed the video!

I've lived in many places in this world, and dealing with mosquitos is a pain (especially in jungles like Thailand where you can get malaria or dengue). If you are fortunate to have lemongrass nearby, then use that. If not, go old school, and use water (or your urine), and mix with dirt to create a natural sunblock/ant and mosquito protectant.

Hi Shane! Very nice video, your part of AZ is much different than mine... here it is very dry, no water for miles, no cows, no trees, just hot dry sand, cactus, tumbleweeds, rocks, maybe a few bushes here n there

Good information. Disappointing about the sweet tater. I like to eat breakfast so I’d be grumpy. I’m impressed that you acknowledged your experienced in your area. Starting a fire in a coastal area or snowy weather would be different.

What part of Arizona are you in ? I'm in N.W. Arizona about 100 miles from Vegas and it's mostly Rocks an Hard Pack where I am. The only spots with much sand are from Monsoon Rain Run Off so not the best place to camp this time of year (late Sept. to early Oct..Really liked the Video ,Good Luck with the new Channel.

It varies tree to tree. You can have one with very sparce, pokey needles and then another will be very full and soft. There doesn't seem to be much rhyme or reason to them.

Haven't had a cut since 2018, definitely need a trim so it'll grow even longer and more luscious

Nice video guys! I live in Northern Arizona not too deserty but we definitely need some more bushwacker survivalist people in this state. Personally its not the education its the entertainment. I know countless people who'd rather drive all the way to the mountains while i take my time hiking up there 🙃. With a giant pack which is NOT recommended but i love the comfort and drink alot of water anyways.

There are mountain lions, bears, and javalina in the area I was at. Just got to be comfortable with and aware of your surroundings. I've never had a problem with bears or lions 🦁

@@prairiefirewildernessskills I haven’t encountered javalinas yet. I have encountered a Mt lion (scary af) and 4 bears( scary but not as scary as the mt lion) I’ve encountered a coyote too. I guess i just pick the worst spots LOL definitely gonna have to learn to pick better spots. Looking forward to your videos man!
