To day we demonstrate how to gather prickly pear cactus fruit, also known as tunas. Then we use them to make jam for our fresh bannock and coffee.

Those are edible raw, and they have a sweet and sour taste to them, also there are other varieties here in Tunisia, that are bigger and sweeter, there are some that even grow late in September, that goes big and red and have more thorns than the red small ones, but they are Extremely sweeter and more delicious, hope I see them in your videos some day

Already had my breakfast, but I'll be danged if watching this didn't make me hungry again! Thanks for the video, and to Cuervo for the relaxing morning guitar picking.

I grabbed some prickly pears from the store yesterday because I was curious. My boyfriend and I watched your videos to learn how to eat them. Thank you! I’m in love with the desert and can’t wait to do some foraging and cooking next time I’m there!
