Having all stages in you analysis-mode recaps is a gift for humanity. As I was riding from Copenhagen to Bologna during the Vuelta, I've only been able to watch the race afterwards. Your recaps have all the essential action and your analysis fills in all gaps beautifully. I honestly think that watching just your recaps in order compares to watching the stages every day. I will start binging your recaps from first to last after every grand tour from now on. It's a beautiful way of reliving the tours in their entirety. Thanks!

Love your work LR - thoroughly enjoyed following this year's La Vuelta with you guys!!! For me, this has been Roglic best GT victory with a super strong week 3 and no major fckups from his side (apart from the little tumble on the decent)! Expected a bit more from Bernal after his Giro win and always thought Carapaz would come in overcooked after TdF and his Olympics ride. Roglic must surely now go for Giro and tick another one off the list ... although that will definitely hamper his TdF chances.

They gave him the traditional pilgrim's kit: the cape and hat to protect the pilgrim from the weather, the walking stick, the pumpkin (water bottle) and the scallop shell, Santiago's symbol (Santiago = St. James). This year is a Jacobean or Holy year, St James Day, 25th July, was on a Sunday. "Believers who visit the tomb of St James in Santiago will be granted the plenary indulgence, the absolution of all their sins." I guess the idea is that this year's Vuelta was considered a pilgrimage or something... so all the riders that finished the race got the "Compostela" or certificate that you have completed the pilgrimage to Santiago. Officially you only get it if you can prove (with your pilgrim's passport, that has to be stamped on every stage, there are many checkpoints along the different routes) that you have walked at least 100km or done a minimum of 200km by bicycle to get there. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Camino_de_Santiago
