The Duke of Sussex's great-granduncle abdicated after just 325 days as King to wed socialite Wallis Simpson.
And historian Gareth Russell reckons Harry, who left The Firm for California in January 2020 with American wife Meghan Markle, is showing similar signs.
Speaking on The Sun's Royal Exclusive show with Matt Wilkinson, Gareth drew comparisons between Edward VIII and Harry's visit to King Charles following his cancer diagnosis.

I think many of us also recognized that 'Harry's truth' as he repeatedly blathered it over those few years, was not actually the truth. Just the bitter interpretation of someone who is entitled, deluded and impulsive. He revealed a lot more of who he truly is - and it wasn't a pretty picture. You can't unsee that. The trip to Nigeria was really a bit of a cringe fest. Desperate to be seen as 'royal', Meghan's massive array of lovely, but in appropriate outfits, and the constant talking about themselves. Ugh.

Harry is a spoilt man-child now. He cannot accept that he is no longer a working royal. Harry and MM got into a snit when the late Queen told them 'no' to the half in the half-in-half-out scenario. Harry thought he could quit his 'job' but keep all the perks. Harry has disgraced his family, his country, and the British people. MM may have said she wanted to move on, but her actions don't reflect that statement. I disagree: Harry did continue to trash the family after Spare. His interviews promoting the book were horrid. MM wants to be the number one royal of the commonwealth. Going to Nigeria was not politically smart and could have dangerous ramifications for the UK. The trip was supposed to be about Invictus, but there was almost nothing regarding Invictus. I don't think the trip was a success. Newspapers and Nigerians are discussing how rude and disrespectful MM was. Harry was cos-playing, being royal again. Parliament needs to act. King Charles should write a global public statement that neither Harry nor MM represents the monarchy in any way.

@@Anikanoteven it was a matter of the knowledge of that era. I have dyslexia, mild thank goodness, & there was no classes or schools or courses to help the problem. In fact, my mother just kept saying I wasn’t trying hard enough. I just figured out how to read. The big words aren’t the problem, the little ones are. Can’t spell (TG for spellcheck!). Math is impossible. All the numbers jump around. I’m good at multiple choice questions. Go figure! That was in the late 50’s early 60’s. I didn’t figure out what was wrong until college in the late 60’s. I had avoided the math classes & a counselor put me in a class with a teacher who developed a teaching method for inner city kids who needed math classes. Best class I ever took. I think the type of parenting & the era of nannies inhibited education. Diana knew h was not bright, in fact she wasn’t either! But rather than get him help, she let him stay home & watch tv with her. We’re not all Einstein’s, but the fact is if you want something you have to fight for it, or find away to achieve it. H is missing that drive.

HRH, Prince and Princess are NOT titles, they are Royal Styles; the late Queen took away the right for H and his despicable wife to use the Royal Styles HRH ( although H has been so utterly rude and disrespectful that he has continued to use his on occasion) So now King Charles has the absolute authority to remove Prince and Princess from this manner less pair. If Harry truly cared about his father, he would of cancelled his presentation he had to do and stayed in London longer, to be with his father. End of story, no excuses, his father just diagnosed with cancer, but instead, already booked a quick 24 hr return flight or whatever it was, it was more of a PR stunt, to try and make him look caring, that backfired!!!

I find that CEO move of fiddling with his tie and jacket buttons while entering or exiting a building/car etc. so annoying. The very sad thing is that Megan doesn't want him either. She's only using him. She's using him because she's got such huge enormous ambitions for herself. She wants power she wants supreme Wealth. This is what narcissist do and Harry Harry is married to the worst narcissist that any of us have ever seen you can see in the reaction of the general public 80% really hate her not just dislike her actively hate her. We instinctively feel at this person. It's not normal, she's wrapped up in herself and in her own power, which is trying to bring out to encapsulate everyone around her. She's already encapsulated a large part of poor de Harry, but he can still escape. I pray that he does as soon as possible.

Another problem with posing as a royal tour while accepting fees and gifts is that it attracts opportunists and they do not have the ability to vet people they meet with as the Palace does...today's story about the money launderer is a prime example.

The photos were taken in such a way you couldn't notice there were no crowds, theres a lot of photos out there now showing that. Butt, you see, we the public see that Harry is impetuous and immature and throws tantrums and is not to be trusted. So even if he has moved on from "his truth" as stated in Spare, he is still that person who behaves this way. Meghan? You will notice she has not yet published her memoir. That is one way she is vastly more clever. She is waiting for "something" to lay out "her truth." We all know that she is likely scouring all the negative things said about her in situations and that she is busy crafting her "what was really happening" story around those events. I would not believe more than 2 words of any 100,000 word autobiography she publishes. Any memoir she writes will be fully to her advantage, talking about how well meaning/victimized/other excuse she was related to the events and how she was unfairly denigrated and will supply false details that "the public did not know" to demonstrate hurdles she overcame.
