Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex opened up to Oprah Winfrey in a wide-ranging interview on CBS. In this previously unaired clip, the couple say they had planned to visit Harry's grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, when there was a change of plans.

Queen Elizabeth has always been a honorable women. She never got divorced, been with other men. If anyone should respected and held in high esteem it's her. The woman's a saint to me. At 93 she deserves some peace, and rest. She served her country more then anyother King or Queen. As an elderly grandmother she should be protected and held in high regard. Leave the woman alone. Those without sin can cast the first stone.

When I went through a bitter divorce, everybody, including my parents and brothers, shunned and blamed me. The only one who came to check on me even in the middle of the night was my grandma. Going to openings of hospitals, different charities, shaking hands, etc, isn't things people would say is being busy. Take an hour out of your day to speak to your grandson, and find out the real issues and deal with them like a matriarch. She can spend time with her dogs and horses, she can make time for her grandson that's hurting. Harry could've spent time with her while she pet those dogs of hers she loves so much.

No, the queen changed a lot after Diana died. She was horrible, horrible to Diana, but we saw how she softened after Diana's death. I truly believe she felt bad about her treatment of Diana and changed things after. She allowed Charles and Camilla to marry, which in the past would not have happened, and did not happen, which led to the whole tragedy on its course. And she also let Harry and William marry who they wanted. Kate was a commoner, Meghan a divorcee. In the past she wouldn't have allowed that. The queen was nice to Meghan too, went out of her way to treat her like she was welcome, treated her better than she did Kate when Kate first came into the picture. And this is how Meghan repaid her kindness. And the queen is old and has a country to run. How much time does Meghan want?? Shouldn't she be looking for that shoulder elsewhere?

Harry was the one that DID NOT HAVE TIME FOR HIS FAMILY. He was the one who left. Then he decides when he want to visit her . .She told him she was busy , but he called her anyway about coming for a brief visit. The Queen is in her 90's - Prince Philip has been ill the last few years - Maber Dealing with Harry was too much for her at that time. Why should the Queen turn her throw out her schedule to see him when he decides to come for a brief visit. He ignored many of her invitations to visit. ... The Queen has only seen Archie once and Prince Philip has never seen him and Archie's grandfather, Thomas Markle, has never seen Archie. Harry has never met Thomas Markle. William , Kate and the little cousins have only seen Archie for a few minutes at a Polo match. There are only a couple pictures released of Archie. The ones Megan has released are hazy, black & white, obscure and just strange.

Why is Megan surprised that her children, Archie at the time wasn’t to be a prince when he was born. Those are the rules you can’t just come along and expect them to be changed. Being a great grandchild does not mean you will be a prince or princess. Now due to the sad news that our queen as passed away, prince Harry’s children will get the prince & princess title as they are the kings grandchildren not great grandchildren. The look of surprise on Megan’s face that her son wasn’t a prince straight away is tough you can’t just change the rules, rules that have been going on for years & years!

The problem that these interviews didn't explain is that in the long-run, anyone who's not a direct line to the throne will be cut off financially since it's just too big a burden on the taxpayers. Harry knows this and shouldn't be blaming his dad for cutting him off since they were leeching off the taxpayers while not working in Canada (the pandemic contributed to them not being able to work as usual, which didn't help). There's few jobs they are qualified to do and The Firm usually restricts jobs if the optics don't looks so great either -- remember when Kate had to change her college major, etc. However, when Harry referenced The Firm suggesting Meghan to continue acting in the interview, he seemed really against that himself -- which says a lot about his own biases. Its too bad Oprah didn't ask them about these practical questions. They are both young and should be able to work to support themselves, and find payment for work that doesn't require them to reveal conflicting information about the royal family, but they are both human, too and probably it's difficult for them to turn down a lucrative pay day, especially knowing how expensive security costs. I know Harry and Meghan didn't directly get paid for the Oprah interview, but it paves the way for other opportunities and more invasive questions.

That is so true. My husband had so many issues with his family. And me my family came from poverty and parents were drug abusers so I was always about trying your best to be close to your family. I met my husband and he was dodging his sister's calls and never wanted to see his parents. I was the one who encouraged him to always try to communicate with his family and get together for barbecues and stuff. It was all fun and games until after we got married. He's white and I'm black. To this very day I'm the one blamed for decisions we make together. To this very day I'm considered gruff when his sister on more than one occasion has yellow yelled and cursed in my face and I'm supposed to just forget about it. I'm always a scapegoat

There are always two or three "sides" to every "story". Wasn't it Harry's job to prepare his wife the lifestyle he knew she was entering? Meghan is a smart individual and could have just taken a few hours to read Diana's story to know the pitfalls of living in a fishbowl. If there two are so devoted to one another and so close, Harry certainly didn't have a clue how Meghan was spiraling into suicidal thoughts? When Meghan needed help, why didn't Harry just pick up the phone and call a doctor and get her help? For that matter, why didn't Meghan do this herself? Meghan isn't exactly a helpless wallflower. If Harry respected his grandmother so much, why would he feel the need to publically trash her to the world and trash the institution she represents? This interview is nothing but spoiled, pampered children taking NO responsibility for anything, representing they did nothing wrong and blame, blame, blame. And Harry, the next time your wife tells you she is suicidal before attending an even, don't make her go to the event. Stay home with her and help her quietly get help regardless of any protocol. These two have squandered such a really significant opportunity for what they could have accomplished as members of this family on the world stage for want of maturity. Such selfish people.
